Useless talk. Is cocoa alone carrying Ghana's economy? All you do is walk around with galamsey gold around your head. That piece will hurt your eye if you're not careful. lol

Massa, you are an ingrate bar none. How does this become a teibal issue? Must yiu teibalize everything? Anyone who can only see things from a tribal lense, has some inferiority complex to deal with. I will become president and I will disband COCOBOD then, you will see how you will get the free shs that you have been enjoying since independence. How unfair is it that someone sweats to cultivate cocoa, then the government comes in a says, I am the only one that is allowed to buy the cocoa? Why? Thieves!!

Which Asantehene has ever identified with any political Party in Ghana? His throne is from heaven, and more valuable than the artificial throne of Ghana's President.

The ghana government should get put of the business of buying cocoa. Why doesn't the government buy all the cassava, corn, plantain, cocoyam in the country? Why only cocoa? It is unfair for these poor farmers to sweat year-in-and-y3ar-out only to have them to see very little of their hard labor. Cocoa is not Golf where the government has legal rights to its exploitation. The corrupt and thieves should get out of the business of buying cocoa. COCOBOD in its current form, has become a corruption-laden enterprise, managed by thieves and armed robbers, using the funds to fund their profligate lifestyles. We need a paradigm shift in the way cocoa is exported. Every farmer should be able to export their own cocoa. The government should just create a mechanism to facilitate this export and collect income taxes feom the farmers. I guarantee you that such a mechanism will unleash the maximum potential of each farmer and make millionaires out of the farmers, reduce poverty in the rural areas and spur development. This will also stop the practice where farmers sell their land to galamseyers as they see the profits that their colleague farmers are making, there by also helping to reduce galamsey. COCOBOD is nothing but a rapist. Time to end the rape of the poor farmers and disband the racket that COCOBOD has become.
