GENERALLY, SALARIES OFFERED TO STAFF OF COCOBOD, SSNIT AND THE LIKE IS TOO HIGH. HOW CAN WE ALLOW THEM TO FEED FAT ON OTHER PEOPLE'S EARNING FOR JUST SHUFFLING PAPERS. IT SIMPLY DOES NOT MAKE SENSE. I CALL IT PROFITEERING OFF GENUINE HARD WORK OF OTHERS. DOES A PERSON WORK FOR 35 TO 40 YEARS WHEN HIS/HER SSNIT BENEFIT IS NOT UP TO ONE MONTH SALARY OF SSNIT BOSS. ITS ABOUT TIME THESE SALARIES ARE SLASHED DRASTICALLY. ON TOP OF THESE SALARIES THEY HAVE THE NERVE AND ARROGANCE TO MISUSE AND SOMETIMES STEAL GLARINGLY. IF SUCH APPOINTMENTS IS INTENDED TO SERVE AS REWARDS FOR PARTY THANK YOUS THEN IT IS TIME TO URGENTLY REVIEW COMPENSATIONS WHICH ARE A BIG DRAIN ON THE ECONOMY. HOW FOR EXAMPLE CAN YOU PAY A MEDIA PERSON ON ABOUT 2,500.00 PER MONTH 65,000.00 BECAUSE THEY INSULTED OTHER PERSONS FOR YOU TO COME TO POWER? CAN SOMEONE IN GOVERNMENT EXPLAIN TO GHANAIANS THE SENSE IN THIS ACT?????? ......AND ARE THESE RATES SUSTAINABLE? AND FOR HOW LONG? HONESTLY LEADERSHIP IS SICKENING IN GHANA. CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME WHOSE IDEA THIS IS?

For the benefit of those who argue blindly.
Just read the reality on the ground.
The 2024-2025 Crisis: Prices experienced an unprecedented spike, driven by severe weather in West Africa (Ivory Coast and Ghana) and disease, pushing prices from under $4,000/tonne in early 2024 to over $10,000/tonne in April 2024 and early 2025.
2026 Outlook: As of early 2026, prices have corrected from those peaks due to improved harvest outlooks and weaker demand, dropping to around $3,700–$5,000 USD/tonne by February 2026. However, analysts expect prices to remain "structurally higher for longer" compared to the pre-2023, $2,000–$3,000 range.
Surplus/Deficit: The market is transitioning from severe deficits in 2023/24 to a projected surplus for the 2025/26 crop year.
