Russia currently has a Military strength of 3.5 Million soldiers (active) with a non active force of 25million soldiers (retired soldiers & above 21yrs National Service trained).Currently they are using only about 250,000 soldiers for this exercise (not war for them). The Russian govt don't want to weaken its military strength that's why it's relying on foreign recruits who they mainly use for transport & logistics. They are paying around 175,000 Dollars for a 2yr contract plus a monthly allowance of 2,500 Dollars. Is this not attractive to a poor African country like Ghana?

All the weapons you are mentioning hasn't defeated Ukraine and if they are to go nuclear then they can wipe out Ukraine but they dare not as it can result in a world nuclear war which can lead to total annilation for all. The US lost the Vietnam war due to public opinion. They could have wiped out Vietnam with their nuclear weapons but they can't just do that.. Russia is facing the sane dilemma
