What does that say about our national security readiness?

It suggests that any foreigner can enter Ghana, pose as a tourist, move around freely, commit crimes, and leave without consequence. That is unacceptable. Imagine if this wasn’t a sexual exploitation case but a terrorist operation. The outcome could have been devastating.

Our security agencies must be better trained, better equipped, and more proactive. High‑traffic areas like malls, airports, bus terminals, and markets should have layered surveillance — both visible and plain‑clothes — just as is standard in many European countries. People are constantly observed there to ensure public safety. Ghana deserves the same level of vigilance.

We cannot keep reacting after the damage is done. We need a security system that prevents, not just responds.

Where I blame some of the women of Ghana is failure on their part is the failure to remember. After all, Ghanaian women were called cheap by Nigerian men some few years ago because of the ease of bedding them with a lunch or dinner of fried rice and a soft drink. This Russian escapade shows a level of ignorance, dishonesty and depravity of modern day Ghanaian woman that is simply pathetic.

How many of the women claiming victim would have followed a Ghanaian boy or man who approached them with the same "hey Wo ho yefe dzi me kyi/ hi beautiful I would like to know you better can you follow me" and any of those women would have followed the Ghanaian boy or man? Additionally a thinking sensible woman willing to go into a hotel and give her body and mind in such a fashion is nothing more than a trained hoe or prostitute. What kills me the most is that some of the women have gone on to sleep with their boyfriends and never told the truth while others yet walk around asking and expecting Ghanaian boys and men to treat them as better than the hoe/prostitutes they are.

Let us get to the basics and query these overall moral compass of the nation. Yes it may not be the time for politics, some may say, except that if we are going to be serious getting to the bottom of the malaise and moral decadence that plagues society, then we cannot deny the excesses of the military government that gave us "fa wo to be gye", the unrepentant thievery under Kufour's NPP majority which solidified the hatred for the late Rawlings junta or government that tried to curtail our impulse for excesses.

Denying the corrupt consequences of the 8-years of the NPP majority of Akufo-Addo/ Dr. Bawumia government will not do. So our young girls have grown into women ready and willing to do whatever it takes to make money. If an ugly broad at National service under NPP could become filthy rich and the likes of all the youth executives of the NPP from 2013 till today can be filthy rich or Miracle Aboagye can become a millionaire stealing money off Dr. Bawumia's ill-gotten largesse for NPP campaign then why not call a spade what it is.
