Our government is not seriously serious. What sort of of nonsense is going on? About 6 months appointment is political foolishness

These were some of the senior justices at the Appeal Court Akuffo Addo and his government ignored and went in for juniors. So, to be fair to some of them the government decided to promote them to the SC. It was not a political appointment, but fairness and merits. If Akuffo Addo and his government had done the right thing we would have had a situation like this. That's the reason the appointing powers of the president on some of these positions must be taking away. As vindictive as Akuffo Addo was, he chose to promote juniors over seniors. The case being appointing Torkunoo as CJ over Baffo Bonney who was the most senior person on the bench. He

Kay De, even if he did not sit on a single case it served justice appointing him to the Supreme Court. He is one of the senior judges who were sidelined by the last president when his juniors were appointed to the apex court. More of such judges are still in the judiciary and need justice. Even if the judge will serve for one month it is enough JDM to promoted him or her to the next higher level unless the judge has a disciplinary sanction against him or her.

Ofui Evans of course you will defend this stupidity from Mahama. Shameless lying politicians. No wonder he now has the enviable record as the only president to reduce cocoa price to farmers.

This Judge, although old, may not necessarily have a long term on the bench. He started as a clerk and rose through to become a senior registrar. This span may have taken him about 20 years at a time he was not a lawyer. His bench job as a magistrate or judge started after obtaining a law degree and then being called to the bar. He was by the over 40 years.
So it’s not true that the previous government refused to promote him and that he was overdue. He was not. It was after Ato Forson’s case that he and the other Justice were elevated to the Supreme Court. His elevation was a thank you gesture, not on merit. He was certainly old but not with that much experience than his colleague Judges.
