My doubts emanate from the fact that after loudly declaring her ability to install streetlights throughout the streets of Accra in two weeks - more than a year ago, not only has she failed to carry out her promise but even the number of the few existing streetlights at the time, have as at now, further reduced.

I am sure that you also don't see anything wrong with openly urinating on the frontage abutting the Jubilee House. What the hell is wrong with some of you? Be reminded that we are in 2026 and not 1850. Incredible!!

Madam Regional Minister, I also propose to you and the NDC govt to consider the urgent need to move the geopolitical administration of Kasoa into the greater Accra Region. Economics and common sense dictate the need to do so.
For starters, the distance from Kasoa to Accra is a mere 24 km (roughly equivalent to the distance from Accra to Adenta, Ashaiman or Tema - all in the Greater Accra Region) whilst the distance from Kasoa to its purported Central Regional capital in Cape Coast, is about 114 km. Relatively, the distance from Cape Coast to Takoradi in the Western Region, is less than half of that distance.
According to the latest official statistics, the size of Kasoa is deemed to be a very unlikely 108 Sq.Km whilst that of Cape Coast is 122 Sq.Km - approximately the same.
In the same vein, the population of Kasoa is again said to be an unlikely 70,000 whilst that of Cape Coast is also around 108,000. As a long time resident of Cape Coast, off the top of my head, I can however vouch that from what I see on the ground, the population of Kasoa is at least twice that of Cape Coast.
Over and above all these related statistics, it is very clear and obvious that residents of Kasoa are more connected in various ways to the administrative and political capital city of Accra. Indeed, Kasoa has much much less to with Cape Coast than it currently has to do with Accra. The residents of Accra and Kasoa would be much more effectively served - socially, economically and administratively, if the official administration of kasoa were to be relocated into the Greater Accra Region.

There's a reason why city planners demacate and preserve "green belt" areas; not just for aesthetic but for our good health. Empty spaces does not mean structures must be put there. Whoever issued the permit must be punished. This nonsense and lawlessness in our cities must stop. Law enforcement is the only approach to put a stop to it.

The Accra people want everything in Accra for themselves. We are demanding same.
He who feels it knows it more. We need someone is a cocoa farmer or whose parents were or are cocoa farmers to head cocobod. Because such a person will understand these farmers better. Because s/he knows what goes into cocoa farming.
Such a ceo will not buy luxurious vehicles on the of back cocoa farmers sweat. And expensive renovation of his office!
Oh, how bad that Ghanaians didn't see this arrogance coming? Transporting his soft chair to cocoa farms.
And the real hardworking farmers were sitting on wood because the Accra elite thinks he is more human being than us, the cocoa farmers.

Sometimes the insults are necessary. Like medication, they serve as shock therapy to wake up people who are still living in the realms of the 16th century. The quality of their opinions actually inflict unbearable disrespect and offense to enlightened readers. It is most painful to realize that there are still Ghanaians who think in this way that indicates that we are still a backward society.

Provision of a valid permit for the construction under an over pass does not make the construction legal. Why build under an overpass? The minister must extend her investigation to the lands department and town planning and dismiss all those who approved the site for the construction work. In Ghana people are building under high tension electrical lines, in waterways , near roads that prevent future expansion , even on highways and on lands that have been marked for inner city streets . Most homes are not accessible by roads because people just put up structures anywhere ignoring town planning laid out plans .
WHAT SORT OF LAWLESSNESS IS THIS? AS A MATTER OF DETERRENT I ENCOURAGE THE MINISERIES TO SANCTION OR FIRE WHOEVER ISSUED A PERMIT FOR SUCH CONSTRUCTION. THE LAW MUST WORK AND THE OFFENDER ALSO PUNISH SEVERELY.
