Let me give you a simple example: first thing you will be asked is your number, rank and name. Your response will determine whether you are an Other rank or a commissioned officer. If you get those right. Mind you the two groups mention their names in different styles so if you mess it up, you will be exposed. You will then be asked your mother unit and or current unit or about your intake cohort number. Again all these demand specific answers which will differ from officer to other rank. If you mention a current Unit, you may be asked about your Commanding Officer or RSM or other key appointments. So, it is easy to catch an impersonator once the first question is responded to. Not talking of the dress you put on, rank insignia, your belt or your lanyard. Many are specific to specific Units and you can't lie about them.
