If he doesn't yet have a degree 30 is still young enough for him to study. He can also do some business or even find a football team and play for 10 more years since he's a keeper. He responded because he was accused.

Being fluent in English in Ghana doesn't mean shit on the streets, especially in the south. It takes about a year to two to adjust. I hosted a well travelled older friend, executive in Ghana. He taught me extra classes, English back in the day. Even he, the accent was rough on his ears, occasionally asking me to explain what someone said. At the college level, some times you have students dropping classes because a particular professor has a strong accent.

The Goalkeeper is already at 30 taking GHC800/Mth as salary.Any rational person would know that he faces a bleak future. You cannot therefore say he's abandoned his career, when he migrates to another country.

Do not despise small beginnings.” Every honest job—whether caregiving, cleaning, driving, or sanitation—is valuable and essential to society. Many roles often labelled as “menial” in fact provide stable and sometimes higher incomes than prestigious positions in poorer countries, including those of some Members of Parliament.
History shows that humble beginnings do not limit future success. Prominent figures such as Kennedy Agyapong and Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia have publicly shared that they once worked as taxi drivers abroad, while Bryan Acheampong has been reported to have worked as a gas pump attendant. These experiences did not diminish them; rather, they shaped their discipline and resilience

I hope this idiot keeps a low profile and tends to his affairs. As an aba-fresh, 30, with no degree his football career is almost over. There is no fancy job waiting on him. Hell, he can barely keep up with the slang. It will be a blessing to just have a job. Some of these home healthcare workers make more money than some people with degreed jobs. He should just focus on the dignity of work. Some of these opinionated people talking shit online are dirt poor and have nothing going for them.

What is wrong with doing cleaning or being a care giver? This goalkeeper must change the mindset. Start cleaning the toilets and people in Ghana will start asking you for free money.

Why do you evem try to explain yourself. How can you play top professional football and be paid GHS1,000.00 monthly and not travel for greener pastures? A street sweeper who earns USD4,500 a month is better than a footballer who be grow old poor and fall sick in your old age and have your pictures plaatered on national neespapers for sympathizers to come to your aid. Sweep the streets with pride, wash dishes at restraurants at evening. Build houses for rent, buy shares in stable companies like MTN and GBC before retiring at 70 yeaes in the USA. Thankfully, you have 40 years of work life since you are just 30 years now.
Forget the public and focus on landing multiple jobs in the USA. After ploughing snow, pick fruits too.

At the end of the day, if that job put food on the table for you, make you comfortable and make you happy, why bother to explain yourself? As we speak now, the same idiots have queued at American Embassy for visa interviews. So be grateful, live your life to the best that you can, and leave the jealous and " ahooyaa " bastards in Ghana.
