I have no interest in the incarceration of Agradaa, but what message does this drastic reduction in sentencing convey to similar criminals, to the victims, and to society at large? Do what you want, sing praises to the ruling government, and walk free.

The Judge in the Agarada case reducing a 15 yr sentence to 1 yr is suspiciously fraudulent and has to be name and an investigation has to be done on the ruling. NDC and President Mahama plus the Chief Justice has to held in part responsible as they promised to uphold non corrupt judiciary system and must ensure that Courts Judges and lawyers who are corrupt, collect bribes and make questionable rulings must be exposed and investigated.

The prosecution was not able to establish the correct amount of money they claimed the woman swindled from them. They did not identify exactly where she got the money from them if through deception or through violence.

I don't support her antics in any way but we cannot sling people into prison whimsically. If these are not checked it will be someone else tomorrow.

She has not hidden her transformations from a traditional priest to whatever. She set up a so called church and made foolish statements. Of course, no sensible person will follow her.

The danger is how the courts are delving into such issues because people can point to others with mega churches doing the same things if not worse.

The female judge obviously has a hatred for her and it reflected on her judgement. 15 years for those charges? Mind bugling.

Recently, China got thousands of its nationals who were scamming people in a neighbouring country extradited back to China. They were tried and many of them….rich, influential and powerful men and women have already been convicted and executed! Who is going to talk about exact amounts scammed?

Something serious has gone wrong with the fabric of our society for anyone to openly do what agradaa did. And to this day, I can’t get my head around the fact that numerous Ghanaians are prepared to be in the same room with her, let alone to hear her preaching or reciting incantations!

But then again, since we all appear to want everything for nothing, I guess the agradaas of this country will always find victims!

Common thiefs are routinely sentenced to many years in prison with hard labour and a crook and fraudster, who was rightly sentenced to a jail term to reflect her offence has her sentence reduced drastically to merely a handshake. This is a clear case of justice for sale. That High Court Judge should be questioned to explain the reasons for his ruling. What is the recommended term of sentencing for such offences as committed by Agraada?

If the justice system keeps working this way, public confidence will completely collapse. It already feels like if you have money and connections, the law bends in your favor. This kind of injustice creates deep resentment and unrest in society.

Decisions like this leave lasting consequences, because injustice doesn’t just disappear—it follows people long after the court rulings are done.

I don’t see any reason to go to court anymore. When the justice system keeps giving unreasonable judgments, it completely destroys public confidence. It feels like the courts no longer protect people who are affected by crime, will deal with anyone who steals or engages in criminal, that affect me in my own way,

To calculate it well we need to take out the weekends and holidays since those days are not included in prison terms.
