My point is that if we say the name Kotoka is not decent enough a figure to be for our International Airport to be named after, then let's get a name of the National Iconic figure to be honoured. A name that will be nationally uniting enough. It should not be done as a means of satisfying the Gas who have been constantly advocating for the change of Kotoka's name because they claimed the facility is in Accra. Bear in mind that recently as usual, they have begun fronting and advocating for the change of the Ghanaian Iconic identity "Akwaaba" at the Airport to "Obaake" a term they just woke up and coined just last night from their sleep. President Mahama consider a name that is uniting enough. Kwame Nkrumah International Airport, I think in my opinion should be the best name to give .

This is done in China to prevent crime and abuse by foreigners in China. Failure to comply is 6 months in jail and a fine.
What foreign criminal wanting to do ashawo, scam, etc would want their details at the police station? So Ghana becomes unattractive for nigerian crimes.

I very much remember the joy that erupted in Ghana when he was overthrown and also died in exile as he made many people die in exile too. He was the only President with never had a Vice President. That is the truth and I know because he was not a baby when I was growing up.when Nkrumah was overthrown.
I don’t live in Ghana and don’t very much care about how they name Ghana but I think Kotoka should remain the name of the Airport. Did we not have Sankara Circle? What did he do to help in the Development of Ghana in any way? We had the name Sankara Circle because he was the friend of Efo Julor Jeremiah Rawlings who deceived many Ghanaian youth that the two were Socialists. How was that important to Ghana? Anlo Ewes should stand against this nonsense because Kotoka is their hero and should be respected and remembered for ever.Anlo Ewes should get up and protest against this. If care is not taken, the name of the Airport will be changed whenever there is a change of Government in the Political terrain. Let us maintain the name Kotoka On the International Airport.

Because he (Kotoka) has played no role in building the Airport that had been transformed by the Head of state that he led to overthrow. So therefore, the changing of his name from the Airport is long overdue.
