A 17-year-old boy, Osei Kwame, has been hospitalized with critical injuries after allegedly being subjected to severe physical abuse in Assin Breku.
According to reports, the teenager was tied to a tricycle and dragged along a rough road by an angry father, identified as 36-year-old Issah Boamah, who is currently on the run.
The victim reportedly sustained serious injuries, including torn clothing, after being forced to choose between death and physical harm.
Osei Kwame claims that Boamah had previously warned him to stay away from his 14-year-old daughter, with whom he admitted to having a relationship.
Kwame alleges that Boamah subjected him to the inhumane treatment and stole GH¢800 from him.
He is currently receiving medical attention for his injuries.
“The man warned me to stay away from his daughter, so I obliged. I traveled out of the community and went to Prestea to work. But upon returning, the suspect’s daughter convinced me to meet her at her house.
"I went to meet her, but unfortunately, her father arrived and asked why I was with his daughter when he had warned me to stay away.
'He then tied my hands and legs, attached the rope to the tricycle, and asked if I preferred death or injuries. Out of fear, I chose injuries. He then took off. I had GH¢800 on me, but unfortunately, the money went missing,” Kwame recounted.
