  That prerogative does not help party unity. It would have been better if the candidate who placed second automatically becomes the running mate. This will resolve all controversies and relieve the presidential candidate of pressure from interest groups to field their choice. Every one knows Napo was imposed on Bawumia,a very wrong choice,in my opinion which did not help the electoral fortunes of the party.
