However, I am very disappointed that the government could not facilitate the journey to Latvia. If the Latvian government refuses to grant visa to the deceased family, this will indicate guilt and the fact that they could not protect the Ghanaian. If a government refuses to grant a visa in this circumstance, why is our government not protesting and publicly calling out the Latvian government? It must be very frustrating for the family that they could not visit the deceased last place of death as a closure. I am very disappointed by our own government's inactive service. It is sad and I feel sorry for the family.

If she fails to withdraw and apologise, the Ministry must wash its hand off this. I find the viral video unacceptable & regrettable because of the circumstances the young guy died.

1. How is it the fault of the ministry that someone mistook an iteniary as a ticket? But am not surprised bcos a family that doesn't know a visa is needed to travel can easily mistake an iteniary as ticket.
2. U need visa to travel out but the visa wasn't ready. They called the mother twice on Friday and Saturday to tell her so. If in spite of this the mother still decided to go to the airport without a visa, it means either the lady in the video is lying or everyone in the family is an illiterate.
3.. The release says that the official delegation is 3. 2 family members and 1 pathologist. This shd clearly tell anyone that the 18 delegation is false.
4. The 2 family members according to the release were nominated by the family. Does the deceased have two families? Don't see how mentioning their names is relevant in this case. If the family comes to say they didn't nominate anyone, then we take it up again from there.
5. The release denies the payment of 2000 cedis. It said the trip is fully funded by govt. Let the family prove they paid any money.
6. Again, the release mentiins clearly that the mother was called on Friday and Saturday morning to explain the delay in the visa processing.

Clearly u didn't read the press release or u didn't understand it. Any objective mind can only come to the conclusion that the video is completely false.
The lady in the video may be disappointed the trip didn't come on as planned but if u put the pieces together, she lied.

Were the other family members chosen above the biological mother of the deceased who is said to have traveled back to Ghana from UAE to be able to travel along with MFA officials to Latvia?
