  While are we allowing the actions of a few citizens to affect thousands. These people should know that not everybody can live in Accra. That was the case in the sixties and seventies. It is when we allowed containers and kiosks around that has created all these urban squalor.

All of us cannot suffer due to the reckless actions of a few. BRAVO NADMO!

  Please NADMO, do this all over Accra. When Rawling left office, most of these people left their village and went to Accra; that's when they took over our streets and started selling everything possible, in the middle of the streets. When President Kuffuor was informed to do something about these people, he suggested that they were his constituents and that they helped to elect him. The bold ones eventually started erecting structures to live in and today, most these structure block some the few traffic safety signs we have by the side of our streets/roads. BTW, most of these people have no toilet facilities so you can only imagine what happens to our gutters, other drains and some of our water bodies. As at now, one may wonder if Accra can even be called a city; if it is, it has to be one of the dirtiest on the planet!

  Avogadro, that was a very useful comment. Thank you very much. We have to be bold to fix the junk in our cities. Accra keeps deteriorating everyday because of lawlessness. This must stop.

  Were they not give enough time to evacuate the said area ? I don't see why people should coming sharing hard crocodile tears before cameras when they were kept informed before hand. My sympathy for their displacement and lost of lands, houses or stores but, they should know time changes and it must benefit the whole region or the whole Country. While the Government must with every malice pay them compensation for their various loses due to the propose project.
