I have time without number stated that building another Expressway by road to Kumasi is not in the overall interest of the nation; in my estimation if a Bullet Train Service is constructed which can make the journey in one and a half hours devoid of rampant accidents and breakdowns will be another option for travellers,If one look at the National Railway Master Plan that connects all Regioal Capitals of Ghana should not be shelved for for another road project. I am a Dutch of Ghanaian origin who has lived in Europe for over twenty years and can emphatically say that there're faster, cheaper, and safe railway system connecting Europe and it's about time Ghana develops it's Railway system for the benefit of posterity. Apart from passengers giving preference to Railway system, it is a delight to watch 40 footer Containers stacked two-high speedily trasversing the the Continent of Europe; moving bulk cargo by rail also improves the life-span of Asphaltic roads which is very expensive to construct. With Ghana already having a Concrete Sleeper Factory between Dawa and Sege on the Tema-Aflao road which produced Standard Guage Sleepers for the construction of the modern Tema-Mpakadan Multiple-Unit Railway system across the Volta River it'll be a step in the right direction to focus on developing Ghana's Railway System. It is my fervent hope and Prayer that a second thought is given to the duplication of the existing Accra-Kumasi highway sacrificing the National Railway Master Plan, Thanks.

This is possible. Toll roads are very common in the Western world and it works. We just have to make sure that toll funds are not hijacked or collateralized by some unscrupulous Politicians from either side of the aisle. Remember how some crooked government of yesteryear collateralized everything in Ghana for loans that was squandered by the Akyem bandits? Ghana should have several of these roads criss crossing Ghana if this concept works. Shame on anyone who had the opportunity to transform Ghana but chose to LOOT FROM THE PEOPLE INSTEAD. How safe are our Cocoa and food crops Farm lands with this project ? Whosoever concern with this Expressway as an option to that of the existing one must think about it. Ghana needs to improve on our dead Railway system which is more safe and useful for passengers, hauling of Agricultural goods like cocoa,Timber and all the rest of food stuff as such reducing cost of living in the capital and its surround big Towns. This is a common sense which my illiterate Grate grand Mum, may she RIP will would have chosen to do.(Railway) Most Countries in Africa are well develop in the Railway Business with low rate of lost of lives through road accidents. Learn from that and save lost of lives of the innocent and poor citizens. Think about it.
