Please do not think that Ghanaians do not have brains to see and digest what is going on. The incompetence of the current administration is glaring. NDC government has not been able to implement a single policy in its manifesto.
Be reminded that the gold for reserves was started by the NPP administration. But that was not even a manifesto, but a long term policy unearthed by the then vice president to strengthen the cedi. What the NDC is doing is wasting the reserves accumulated by the government. Selling dollars to strengthen the cedi is a temporary fix. Because Ghana does not have any 'mountain' of dollars to sell over a long term period to support the cedi.
The other problem is that no government has ever implemented a 24-hour economy. It is a myth. The sensible thing to do is to develop the infrastructure and systems that enable a 24-hour economy to thrive. If the roads are poor, drivers will choose to sleep after sunset. If the power supply is not constant, businesses will shut down in the night. If the police do not have reliable vehicles to patrol, the business environment will be safe for people to conduct business round the clock.
It is the total development of the essential amenities that enable the people to operate round the clock, not political campaigns. Let us see better roads, new railway lines and stations, more efficient hospitals well resourced with computer and other electronic devices to aid better treatment.
These developments will improve employment opportunities for the youth who are hiding and smoking.
And more importantly if the government will show concern and do things faster and pay National Service personnel who have recently been taken on and not paid for almost four (4) months.
What a waste of space. The two budgets so far allocated a disproportionate amount of funds to the Jubilee House as if the president implements any policy. It is the seat of waste and corruption. Note that well, finance minister.
