He will win African footballer of the year soon. I have a feeling he’s about to score lots of goals for Ghana. Our new legend in the making

Don't worry, his teammates in Ghana will see to it that he does not get the necessary passes to shine!

I like Semenyo's style of play. Get the ball, dribble once, and shoot. No dramatics, showmanship, or excessive dribbling.

Not like low IQ Kudus who plays football as if he’s playing alikoto at Nima gutter. Football is a team sport and kudus does not get that part. He has no ability to bring his team mates into the game . Always trying to pull off some solo individualistic play to prove he’s better than his teammates. I can’t believe he has been playing professionally for such a long time and still lacking the basics

The only reason why Semenyo and Inaki can't score for blackstars is because of some selfish and delusional players around them who somehow think football is an individual sport. They want to dribble everyone. How is that possible and how do you win like that? If those players don't grow up, the world cup will be a disaster.

Beautiful goal it is without a doubt! Count the number of ball passes it took for the goal to come, compare this to a typical Ghana play. The last guy who passed the ball to Semenyo would have shot wide over the bar if he had ... read full comment
Beautiful goal it is without a doubt! Count the number of ball passes it took for the goal to come, compare this to a typical Ghana play. The last guy who passed the ball to Semenyo would have shot wide over the bar if he had been in a Ghana Black Stars jersey. Our players are so selfish, always wanting to go for self glory first. So bad!

Semenyo is an instant hit. He'd be same regardless which club signed him. His discipline, work rate and technique are clearly not accidental or due to just talent.
Pep describes him succinctly; "incredible energy". That was imperative but clearly lacking in City's forward line. Beyond that, the sheer sure-footed and deeply technical capabilities of Semenyo built through disciplined grit and rigour from the unforgiving trenches of hardknock street play, without the benefit of academy buttering, have placed him in an incredibly powerful position as a rare, rounded athlete prepped to carry a whole team along and on his shoulders alone if need be.
That is the mark of a true gem and his name will soon leave an irrepresible ring in both the stands and City's hall of fame. Mark it.
Now let's see if Otto Addo has it in him now that the lad has proven his true pedigree beyond any shadow of doubt.
