Government is pumping taxpayers money to maintain high cedi value, yet the taxpayer is still paying high for basic goods. It's ironic! Who at all is the beneciary of this Voodoo economic management. Government create an artificial exchange rate, and want Ghanaians in the diaspora to keep steady remittances, where they get less value for their money? Yet the lesser value will buy even much less goods at the market. When Ghanaians wake up from this 'political spell' they will understand this is all about votes and not for better living standards. It's not helping the economy, it's not helping Ghanaians at home, and Ghanaians in the diaspora when you do create an exchange rate that us not based on strong economic fundamentals. If the fundamentals are weak the exchange rate will expose you. Likewise, if you fake the exchange rate the fundamentals will expose you.

Bleeding hard. Fool. We're not going back to E-levy, DDEP, 17 cedis to a dollar and corruption galore. You had your chance to manage the economy and failed. Miserably.

I try always to stay away from insults. But, its only a fool who can't make a single constructive argument without resorting to insults. You must be silly if you don't understand that it doesn't make sense for prices of cement and other goods to keep going high despite the manufacturers paying low for imports and lower production costs. No one is against cedis appreciation if it's driven by economic factors. When currency appreciation is backed by strong economy living standards improves and Ghanaians will not be depending heavily on foreign remittances. It is your BoG governor who is bleeding for the fall of remittances from Ghanaians in the diaspora, not me. That alone is a sign of warped currency appreciation. Pumping money to maintain low exchange rate is like dressing a wound without treatment. What tangible policy has your government implemented to boost economic growth? Do you think everyone is doing politics. Nobody gave me any chance to manage the economy. A fake Ghc 10 per dollar has the same effect as Ghc 17 per dollar. That's why Ghanaians keep asking why they are not feeling the impact.

Benji is right. You must be a complete moron to believe that those ramblings that you just said will be believed by any sane Ghanaian citizen. Your evil party has been doing this for a while now and while you were successful in fooling some people 8 years back, it's not working this time, so if you really truly love this country, then you will shut the f up and let the Mahama continue the excellent job he is doing for your own children's future. Oh and yes, I studied economics and you're completely wrong. AS*HOLE!!!

Ask again. I can’t think far. The maths doesn’t add up. Cedis between 15 to 17, cement was less than 100 cedis. Cedis between 10 to 12, cement is more than 100 cedis. We keep deceive our self about affordable housing.

Fake dollar rate reduction.
The gov't should find a better way to make the economy good for an ordinary person to afford daily bread after all that dollar is not our currency.
