As far back as 1903, australia (a land populated by convicts from England), accomplished the Goldfields Water Scheme by which they pumped water 560 kilometres to develop Kalgoorlie and the semi-desert Goldfields area. With all that fresh water rushing downstream from Sogakope into the Atlantic ocean, which politician came up with the wasteful expensive plot to desalinate sea water? There is enough water from sogakope to go around the country for domestic use and farming! All these pompous good for nothing leaders....totally uncomfortable with large ideas! The only large idea that appeals to them are grand schemes to loot our coffers. It's amazing that we lack common water!
