What is the good news about someone who could not save himself, crying and sweating blood and cursing God for abandoning him? Is it that Satan has perpetually blinded you people or you read the bible upside down? I don't get it., Had God saved him, Christians would've ungratefully attributed it to Jesus saving himself
Even a small wooden cross, he couldn't carry, but needed Joseph of Cyrene to carry it for him. Why didn't he summon 'his' angels to carry it for him and save himself and Joseph that embarrassment? Even common water, he could not command 'his' angels to give him but gluttongly gulped down the vodka given to him which sent him into coma. This is the person that you ignorantly think can save you and others. Read your bible well and stop this Laziness.

How would you justify that the person who paid 27.000 say, into the fund receives the same pension (when using flat) as the person that paid 150.000 say, into the fund?

Kwa, as much as I know, the amount of pension a person get depends on the number of years that person worked and how much that person paid into the pension scheme.
To see my point: consider 2 people. One worked 40 years and paid say GHS 150 a month into the scheme.
The other worked 5 years and paid GHS 100 a month into the scheme.
Now how can you justify that the man that worked only 5 years (paid only 5 years) receive the same pension as the man who worked 40 years (paid 40 years)

When the very WICKED and INHUMANE Ofori Atta and his uncle NADAA were confiscating pensioners small amounts, causing some dying prematurely, others having problems buying their medication, Mahama's govt has rather increased pensions by 10%.

SSNIT has failed Ghana period. SSNIT is not a private entity or company but civil or public servants like all other ministries and agencies of government.
The one skills/professional group that can expose SSNIT for their incompetence and the failure of Ghana's parliament to provide adequate oversight authority of SSNIT is "teachers" in Ghana.
If everyone classified as a "teacher" in Ghana came together to form a union regardless of the type of teacher- be it teacher or instructor at tertiary, secondary, middle and elementary- then the union of teachers could seek a waiver from parliament/ government to allow 50 percent of the newly classified teacher group SSNIT monthly deductions/contribution to go to another retirement investment management company that aggressively invests contributions from the teachers funds for better return on investment.
Compensation of Management at the new Teachers Investment Company will be directly tied to 5-year ROI of investment funds. Ghana's government can continue borrowing funds from SSNIT for projects and can do same with the new Teachers investment company but with a higher interest rate demand. The setup will bring competition to SSNIT and expose the unearned lifestyles and perks the government is currently giving management at SSNIT. Can anyone explain why management and mid-level workers at SSNIT are compensated more liberally than other public or civil servants in same categories?
We are robbing pensioners of their retirement benefits and paying workers at SSNIT who have not done much since the start of SSNIT as we know it. What if funds from the Teachers Investment group is dedicated to funding construction of hospitals, clinics, secondary and tertiary buildings so that the ROI on those national projects stay inside Ghana and not to foreign investors. Let us force SSNIT management to earn their salaries and perks instead of having retirees wallow in poverty because of the meager returns they get from SSNIT .

In fact ssnit monthly payments are just too low. At least something close to 50%. The worse of it all as the years come by the amount looses value.
