What we are witnessing is similar to what Russia is doing to Ukraine for the past few years. The so called superpowers should come clean and respect sovereignty of all states. They are not above the UN Charter international laws. Flexing military muscle is not why you're voted for. US championing Democracy must know that, they contrarily practicing what they preach.

When Hugo Chavez took power in Venezuela, he kicked out all the US oil companies because they were giving just 20% of the oil proceeds to his nation. That act alone did not sit well with the US and they tried several times to get rid of Hugo Chavez including Maduro.
