Your best budget this year is your "Training & Personal Development Budget".Train for better daily income this year - Start Early, Start Now. GET Chukky Oparandu’s guide - it breaks it down clearly for beginners: repairs, flashing, accessories sales — the skill opens doors into IT careers. No big capital. Just a skill you earn from once you apply it. If you’re planning ahead for 2026, this is one move people are already making. On the Validity of Academic Qualifications and Accreditation
The validity of an academic qualification is determined by the accreditation status of the awarding institution at the time the degree was conferred, not by changes that may occur afterward. Accreditation is time bound and non retroactive.
If a university was duly accredited when a student enrolled, completed the programme, and was awarded a degree, that qualification remains valid for life. A subsequent loss of accreditation by the institution does not invalidate degrees already awarded. This principle is standard and universally recognized across national and international higher education systems.
To illustrate this clearly, if a person obtains a PhD today from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, which is currently accredited, and at some future point KNUST were to lose its accreditation, that individual’s PhD would remain valid. Degrees are legal academic instruments, not renewable licenses that expire when an institution’s status changes. They do not function like software licenses that become invalid when a vendor later loses authorization or support.
Applying this principle to the case in question, if the Vice Chancellor attended the institution in during a period when it was accredited, completed the programme under recognized academic authority, and was awarded the degree within that accredited period, then the qualification is fully valid. Any subsequent change in the institution’s accreditation status has no retroactive effect on the degree or on the legitimacy of his professorial rank.
Globally, accreditation agencies accredit specific periods, not an institution’s entire past and future indefinitely. Degrees are awarded based on the laws, regulations, and quality assurance standards in force at the time of graduation. No recognized academic system operates by revoking degrees retroactively due to later institutional challenges, as doing so would undermine the stability and credibility of higher education worldwide.
Therefore, questioning a person’s academic qualifications or professorship based solely on a later change in the accreditation status of their alma mater is academically unsound, legally indefensible, and logically incorrect. The only legitimate and relevant question in such matters is whether the institution was accredited at the time the degree was awarded. If the answer is yes, then the qualification stands, and the issue is settled.

After all what is the deal between a Master and a Doctor degree. Very little to my understanding. They both involve very long Essays written out of research work. I mean RESEARCH not SEARCH. Meaning the Essay contents already exist. All you do is to re-write the same thing with semantic adjustments. Now, if some one becomes a Professor
and he or she is being challenged, it means you are challenging the persons Master degree. From Master to Doctor is automatic, so to say. The Master essay becomes a little longer than the Doctor one. In some cases the Doctor degree does not matter in becoming a Professor. Professorship is by promotion. So, if there is no challenge on the Master degree, FORGET IT. No need for the noise going on. My candid submission.

You are most probably referring to the MASTER OF PHILOSOPHY (M.Phil.) degree, and not the MASTERS (M.Sc./M.A.). The ordinary masters is a considerably lower academic qualification than the Ph.D.
