PRIESTHOOD CHANGED

**************************
********APOSTLE Paul asked the congregation to pray for him, and those who were with him. (Rom 15:30-32) Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me; (31) That I may be
delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;
(32) That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.
(2 Cor 1:10-11) Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us; (11) Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.
(Eph 6:18-20)(NASB)
With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all
perseverance and petition for all the saints, (19) and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, (20) for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
(Phil 1:19) (NASB) for I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ
(Col 4:2-4) (NASB)
Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving; (3) praying at the same time for us as well, that God will open up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ, for which I have also been imprisoned;
(4) that I may make it clear in the way I ought to speak.

All organized religions are man-made and full of lies, deceptions and they employ fear-mongering to numb the minds of gullible zombies. You keep making noise about heaven, a place that you can't tell anyone where it's located. You keep making noise about scriptures, but you can't justify why your scriptures claim St. Peter is the gatekeeper of heaven. Who was the gatekeeper before St Peter? You can't even explain why all these saints are named by one religious leader, the Pope, the same Pope that your religious teachings falsely to be infallible when he's speaking about God. God is not in any book; all religious books have been written by men, and you can't claim that these writings are the teachings of God. Work to love your fellow human; work to make the world a better place; and stop peddling religious lies and deceptions that only serve to divide people around the globe.

Perhaps there is a diabolical agenda in all of this. If you want to discredit an institution, organisation or even individual one subtle way to do it is to post stories that constantly show them up in a very bad light. Focus on the foolish, absurd and even criminal activities of a tiny minority and keep printing such stories repeatedly. Over a period of time, a caricatured image of that institution or individual may become implanted in the minds of readers. This can happen to any religious group or any organization. One effect is to anger or annoy members of different religious faiths usually Christians versus Moslems so that they attack each other- THIS IS PURELY SATANIC.
IT IS DEMONIC. LET’S NOT FALL FOR IT. IF WE MUST POST COMMENTS SHOWING OUR DISAPPROVAL, WE MUST ALSO ADD THAT THE GREAT MAJORITY OF PASTORS, PREACHERS AND THE CLERGY DO NOT LIVE OR BEHAVE IN THAT WAY.
IT IS A VERY SUBTLE BUT EFFECTIVE FORM OF PERSECUTION AND IN THIS DAY AND AGE OF INTERNET AND SOCIAL MEDIA IT IS EASILY DONE. IT TAKES DISCERNMENT TO SEE THROUGH THIS DEVILISH AGENDA.

One of the most shameless tribal politics of our generation is the Mole-Dagbani Illusionist empire fallaciously created by Naa Gbewaa. Dagombas were Yorubas from Nigeria, Gonjas are Mande from Mali, Mamprusis are Mossi from Burkina. These are the conspirators and puppets of European Invaders who wanted to live in the past glory of indirect rule. Non of them is a Tindana of an inch of land in the Northern region, part of BA and Togo. They orchestrated the current unpeaceful, Inharmonious and turbulent atmosphere in these areas(Northern and Upper Regions and Part of BA) all in the name of of illusionist fallacious mischievous empire of Naa Gbewaa. The shameful collapsed of Mamprugu will serve as a ripple effect in the remaining territory of indigenous people (Tindanas) of Ghana. They enjoyed the plunder of evil British incarceration and still being delusional. They are very paranoid and still live very primitive and archiac. How can a Colonial or an European Administrative Act work in a Republican constitution like Ghana. Those still being oblivion must be sent to Psychiatric facilities for mental, cognity and logical correction. Maybe they didn't understand the meaning of independence Ghana gained in 1957 or they are puppets, clowns and conspirators of European Invaders. Shameless tribal bigots.

Everybody can do guess work or dream and get some guesses or dreams right and some wrong. When the guesses or dreams of these charlatans come to pass, they'll start jumping and laughing like demented people, claiming to have given true prophecies. When the guesses or dreams fail to materialize, they then say the failure of their 'prophecies' has been due to interventional prayers. Why don't prayers intervene when the guesses and dreams come to pass? They should give us a break whenever they take alcoholic drinks, get drunk, go to bed and have their alcoholic dreams.

Title: Don’t Be Scammed by New Year Predictions — Embrace Reason, Not Prophecy
As the year is about to turn, a flood of adverts and predictions fills the media space, for the so-called ‘Crossover’, ‘Walkover’, ‘Leap-over’, ‘Jump-over’, etc; during these periods, the various Pastors, Apostles, Prophets, other faith leaders, and even some Imams join in the fray of ‘who-is-who’ of fortune telling – with a flood of predictions. But, how many people really take time off to consider and analyse whatever is being predicted, the scientific and objective basis of the information, and how reasonable these predictions can be?
Science is based on observable facts, logic, data, experimentation, and reproducible results in different laboratories, using the same conditions. The objective of any experimentation is to prove or to disprove a proposition, and to use the information so gathered to improve our lives. Furthermore, science works out the ‘probability’ of an event occurring, based on available facts and data; by contrast, faith-based predictions often rely on fear, claiming divine intervention or miraculous outcomes, and sometimes demanding money or ritual participation to avert calamity. Some of these faith-based predictions continue to confound by predicting who and who are going to die, thus striking fear; they eventually ask their victims to come and see them for special prayers, for a fee, to avert any calamity. Can these leaders predict their own fortunes from one moment to the next?
The impulse to forecast the future is as old as storytelling, yet true guidance rests not in crystal balls or sermons, but in evidence, reason, and culture. This piece argues for a skeptical, historically informed approach to New Year predictions — one that protects people from scams and taps into Africa’s rich tradition of philosophy and self-knowledge.
Unpredictability and the limits of prediction:
- The idea of “Always Expect the Unexpected” echoes Alfred Hitchcock’s thrillers: that life is inherently unpredictable, and many outcomes lie beyond our control. While skill and planning can influence results, they rarely determine every detail, especially in matters of chance.
- Permutations and the time spent on such a venture would be nowhere worth the effort. Lottery predictions illustrate the point: even when some forecasts appear correct, they rely on probability, not certainty. Attempting to game every permutation of outcomes is costly and often futile; luck and chance do most of the work.
The perils of fortune-telling in public life:
- Some predictions touch on health or death - to frighten individuals into seeking costly prayers or other services. How many of the 2024/25 predictions by our faith-based leaders have proved accurate? Some have been predicting the demise of centenarian public figures like the Chief-Imam –who continues to confound such prophecies, and lives on with vitality, despite the predictions.
Science versus superstition:
- Science tests hypotheses with controlled methods and transparent uncertainty. It distinguishes between observed phenomena and inferences, and continually refining understanding as new data becomes available
- Magic and stage deception rely on tricks—and when the audience cannot see the mechanism, they may mistake illusion for truth. The lesson: appearances can mislead; knowledge requires scrutiny of how results are produced.
- Historical shifts in cosmology: ancient people observed the sun’s apparent motion and shadows, yet the earth’s rotation and orbit were later established through reasoning and measurement. The current celebration of the Gregorian New Year and calendar systems rests on such astronomical understanding, despite what surface appearances might suggest.
- The lesson: observable phenomena can be misinterpreted; science seeks the underlying explanations, even when they contradict common sense or entrenched beliefs.
African history, philosophy, and reconsideration of narratives:
- Africa has a deep intellectual heritage that challenges notions of Western supremacy. Cheikh Anta Diop (Senegal) and others argued for ancient African contributions to science and civilization, including arguments that Greek philosophy drew from African sources. Diop also argued that the pyramids and knowledge of astronomy reflect African knowledge, thus countering European claims of cultural superiority.
Thinkers like Anton Wilhelm Amo (Ghana) challenged Eurocentric notions of mind and knowledge, emphasizing a rigorous, indigenous capacity for philosophical thought.
- The writings of African figures like Leopold Senghor (Senegal), Kwame Nkrumah (Ghana), Julius Nyerere (Tanzania), John Mbiti (Kenyan), and Nnamdi Azikiwe (Nigeria) are exemplars of African contemporary philosophy that questions reality, time, personhood, the evils of colonial subjugation and the subsequent achievement of African independence.
- The Ubuntu principle — “I am because we are” — is a modern articulation of our shared humanity and collective responsibility, reconciling philosophical inquiry with communal ethics. This perspective offers a bulwark against predatory prophecies that prey on fear and financial coercion.
- The colonial era ignored many African scholarly traditions and artefacts, often replacing them with imported systems of belief. Reclaiming Africa’s own intellectual heritage means that we must recognize African scholarship as a robust, living force, not a relic of the past.
- The work of Greek philosophers such as Aristotle, Galileo, and Pythagoras is acknowledged as foundational to science, but African scholars have documented how African civilizations contributed richly to global thought as well.
- The broader point is that intellectual history is complex and entangled with power: colonialism erased or devalued African achievement, and modern discourse continues to wrestle with those legacies.
The lasting impact of colonialism on knowledge and belief:
- Centuries of enslavement and colonization damaged African self-perception and cultural continuity, thus implanted a Western-centric worldview.
- Colonial scripts and religious impositions often sidelined or distorted indigenous knowledge systems, thereby leaving a vacuum into which modern fortune-telling and "prosperity gospel" practices could flourish, and sometimes exploiting vulnerable communities for financial gain.
- The legacy of colonization left a distorted view of Africa’s religious and philosophical depth. Many early Western narratives misrepresented African thought to justify their domination of Africa. The contemporary challenge is to honour Africa’s own traditions while embracing critical thinking, problem solving, creativity and scientific literacy.
Cultural integrity and local traditions:
- Rather than outsourcing fear to fortune-tellers, African communities sustain meaningful rituals and public memory through festivals and cultural events. For example:
- Akwasidae (Ashanti) honors heritage and the symbolic Golden Stool.
- Fetu Afahye (Cape Coast) emphasizes public health and environmental care.
- Homowo (Ga people) commemorates resilience in the face of famine, turning hunger into a celebration of harvest.
- Hogbetsotso (Anlo) and Odwira (Eastern Region) weave peacemaking, historic victory, and communal renewal into yearly rites.
-The Damba festival is celebrated by the Dagomba and other peoples of the Northern regions of Ghana. The purpose of the festival is to celebrate the rich heritage, history and chieftaincy of Dagbon and related kingdoms.
These festivals anchor time, reinforce identity, and strengthen social bonds—without exploiting fear or promoting pseudo-scientific forecasts.
Practical guidance:
- Notions of divine mandates or fatalistic prophecies can be instruments of manipulation. Supporting critical inquiry, transparent information, and culturally grounded rationality protects communities from predatory schemes.
- Be skeptical of grand predictions that promise certainty or demand fees for “protection” from calamity.
- Seek evidence-based information: assess sources, seek data, and look for independent corroboration.
- Distinguish between forecasts that acknowledge uncertainty and those that pretend to know the future with certainty.
- Support local scholarly and cultural institutions that promote critical thinking and African philosophical traditions.
- Celebrate and invest in community cultural heritage as a source of identity, resilience, and cohesion.
A call to thoughtful living:
By embracing life’s unpredictability with humility, we guard against scams that exploit fear and money. We also affirm Africa’s enduring intellectual legacy, a tradition of thoughtful inquiry and communal responsibility that has long offered nuanced perspectives on knowledge, time, and the common good.
The All-Night “Crossovers” and year-end religious services are not criticized for spirituality, but for turning New Year into a commercial opportunity for leaders to milk their followers.
In sum, the message is simple: don’t be swayed by flashy predictions that prey on anxiety. Expect the unexpected, yes — but do so with informed skepticism, cultural pride, and a commitment to truth-telling that serves the whole community. This approach not only shields individuals from exploitation but also honours Africa’s rich tradition of reasoned thought and shared humanity.

I think we can pray anytime in our closet as the Bible tells us. People go and pray on the 31st watch night but still nothing changes. Owusu Bempah is on weed and he is a gay man and so nothing je says holds merits as he always talking the nonsense.

Praying on the 31st watch night isn't biblical. It is all satanic anyway as anything associated with Xmas and new year is satanic.

All pastors and prophets are religious liars and shameless tithe-fleecing bandits peddling demented deceptions for consumption by gullible zombies.
Ghanaweb staff may be staunch members of these useless churches, tjat is why they always focus so much on them. They are the only media outlet who always provide heavy presentations on them. Shameless people
Christianity is the only true religion that takes you to heaven, that is why the devil is trying to pervert it, using these fake men of gods. There are True men of God. Search the Scriptures and pray for God himself to lead ...

I wonder why we have too many fools who followed these crooked crooked and wretched supposed men and women of God who just tell horrible and disgusting and untruthful miracles for people to believe and follow them blindly.
ONLY IDIOTS, EDUCATED-ILLITERATE IDIOTS WILL BELIEVE THESE FOOLS CALLING THEMSELVES PASTORS. A BUNCH OF MORONS!THEY ARE JUST TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE BLINDNESS OF THE MASSES.
I disagree when you ay 'all pastors' by their fruits you shall know them. Most of them give the doom prophecy and cover themselves by saying we have to pray to avert it. In effect if it doesn't go that way then 'we prayed'

Oh Ghana Web, is this a story. Why can't you engage qualified trained journalists with some of your looted state monies

Imagine Muslims were causing this fear and panic pathological lies...Christians can do all the unthinkable wrongs and nobody cares but always quick to attack Muslims with the slightest thing..hypocrites...
The reason is simple Christians just deceive themselves but Moslems kill each other in the slightest provocation
@Gh, what is wrong with a pastor or prophet prophesying in his church? You should stop the journalists from reporting those prophecies.
BAD CHRISTIANITY RELIGION.
Christianity is not a religion. If Christianity were to be a religion, it will be difficult to differentiate between a Christian and a Muslim. Christianity is Christ in man.
