What substance will that add to the fact that he started as a janitor and he is now a neurosurgeon? Your question makes no sense to the storyline.

Not so sensible. From 2010 to 2025 is just 15yrs, a novice cannot easily become a neurosurgeon within that period. We need the full story b4 we can be inspired. America is not a place for magicians if you care to know.

Ghanaian don't listen to this fake story. They always package it as great achievements but behind the scenes, they cried and can't even pay their mortgage, students loans and credit card bills working three jobs and jumping from pay check to pay check. Educate is good. If you are the USA and you have document to work, get a stable job, build your credit, buy a two family house, rent it out and let your tenant pay your mortgage for you. Evaluate your stable job you are doing. Look for certification courses, pay out of your pocket to do it. And enjoy your life with your family. Most Ghanaian in America are running to school and because they don't understand the market economy, they took the big student loans, finance big cars announcing i am a Doctor, Nurse etc but at the end of the day, an ordinary CNA who understood the system is happily living their life to the fullest and Nurses are sleeping at the same hospital for 12 to 16 hours every day. Don't allow this decorated monkeys to fool you. All is not well with them

Either you’re a fraud or you lack sense. Or maybe you’re just a ‘skin pain’. A CNA’s 8 hour check might equate to a 2 hour RN check in many instances. Grow up and have some wisdom.

No African successful person in the diaspora jumped into success right on arrival. You definitely have to start from the buttom up.
I am a product of such pathway and so are all my friends and family in the USA, Canada, and elsewhere.

Many in North America (USA and Canada) will identify with the path to your upward mobility. Where I disagree is with your conclusion that this is “not unusual”. There are many more who have resigned their fate to pursuing unrewarding pathways. So then, many kudos to this who do not allow the system to define them. This is absolutely a great accomplishment by all standards.

This is no biggie. I cleaned hotwl rooms in London, worked in sandwich making factorirs to get some pocket money for the disco entrance fee, and a little bit for McDonalds with the girlfriend so i can jiggy jiggy her that weekend.
In these type of jobs i made friends from Nigeria, Siwrra Leone, Gambia, Ivory Coast etc.
That did not stop ne from successfully acquiring my Law Degree. Honestly, i dont even see it as something exceptional. Holiday jobs are part of student life in the UK, US and Europe.
If he says I grew up from a village in Tuobidom with no zhows and has to walk 3km evdrday fighting snakes and grasscutters along the way to school so determined and still passrd my WASSCE on an empty stomach to gain a Schorlaship to become a neurosurgeon then i will stand up, salute you and bow down before you.
But doibg what majority of students in Europe or US does in their daily student life is nothing to write about.

Well spoken deep with alot of wisdom. I am just a licensed Recovery specialist. No student loan. As Kevin already stated, I didn't follow the Ghanaian competitive mindset of rushing to get student loan or rushing to buy single family. I bought my first two family and second three family and now have my last single family house. Now the stream of income is flowing. I don't pay no student loan. My two properties are paying all my three own properties. My pay check from my job is not under pressure. I don't sleep at work over 8 hours as this Doctors and RN are running around trying to pay their bills. Education is good but remember, this is a market economy. You have to be smart. If someone in Ghana with their economy had achieved this? Of course we shall congratulate them. Not you going for a loan that you can't pay back before you relocate to Ghana

Hero? Borrowing money to go to school and became a slave to the lender. You called this hero. Master this is no achievement. If he achieved this through scholarship as few of our Ghanaian born in USA are doing now going into IT, Engeenering and Doctors, of course. They aren't going to be a slave to uncle sam. Grow up my people. We rush to signed up for student loan because everyone is going to school, so I have to also go. Now after spending the loan. You don't even have a job. We rush to buy single family to show off, while others started with two family with same status of first home buyer. Now we can't pay our mortgage and we are all over the place. While others lived in the same two family houses dealing with tenant who can't refuse to pay your mortgage while living there free. Even with your student loan degree. You don't even know this common basic. AMERICA IS BIG. THIS ACHIEVEMENT IS NO NEWS
Congratulations.
