Four persons lost their lives in a tragic road traffic accident on Christmas Eve along the Cape Coast–Twifo Praso Road.

According to multiple online reports, the Twifo Praso Fire Station was notified of the incident and subsequently dispatched a rescue team to the scene on December 24, 2025.

“On Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at about 4:48pm, we received a distress call reporting a vehicular accident at Twifo Ntafrewaso. A rescue team was immediately dispatched to the scene,” a post by X user Elorm read.

Upon arrival at the accident scene, the team observed that a Hyundai Getz with registration number GW 7715-25, which was being used for commercial purposes, had veered off the road and crashed into a tree in a nearby bush while travelling from Twifo Mampong towards Twifo Praso.

"Three persons were found trapped in the wreckage of the vehicle who were extricated by the crew and transported to hospital, where they were pronounced dead",it added.

Prior to the arrival of the rescue team, one casualty had already been rescued by civilians and rushed to the Twifo Praso Government Hospital, where the victim was also confirmed dead.

Eyewitnesses at the scene indicated that the driver was overspeeding while negotiating a curve, causing him to lose control of the vehicle.
