Prof Azar like l said what is happening in Ghana is not about proving by law what Political Prosecution and and what is not? It is about how the NDC government Investigative bodies have handled suspects before them. We the non-law scholars look at things that way. What do you say about the following per your analyses of what is political prosecution and what is not?
1. Chairman Wontumi detention and bail conditions
2. Abronye detention and a court of competent jurisdiction remanding him to prison custody in a case that is bailable
3. The raiding of Ken's house by National Security Operative wilding guns with the Special Prosecutor claiming that Ken organised that raid himself. The argument that Ken is not the only one being prosecuted in the SML matter falls flat in sense that how come it was only Ken whose home was raided by the National Security
4. Look at the Paul Adom Otchere case with OSP, clearly the OSP only wanted to show him where power lies because he had been a critic of the OSP about how he handled the Ken matter as well as Cecilia Dapaah
5. The media prosecution being championed by the AG in the name of accountability
6. The Nolle Prosequi for all corrupt officials of the NDC who were in court is enough to prove that the prosecutions of this government's opponents is simply political
7. The request for extradition of Ken by this AG whilst there is a corrupt NDC official who has been tried and jailed but is hiding in the US but this government has not shown any seriousness in her extradition to come and serve her jail term is enough to show that there is political prosecution of opponents
8. The way and manner the previous CJ was removed and hurriedly replaced even when the matter is on court all feeds into the agenda of political prosecution, and any one being pursued by this government would feel that they would not get fair trial

So Prof Azar these may be the reasons why people like Ken may feel they will not get fair trial. When all these things were happening we did not hear some of you law professors commenting, now the consequence is suspected corrupt officials of previous government will take advantage of these things and lay claim to the facts that their prosecution is political.
In as much as corrupt officials must be prosecuted, the way yhe cases are handled must be decorous and should not have any suspicions of witch hunting and political prosecutions. I rest my case.
