With a name like Williams, how could anyone guess where they actually hailed from? The same goes for many other Africans around the globe. Yes, some West African citizens have always been able to come into Ghana and used dubious names to obtain Ghana passports. But at the same time, some Ghanaians across Europe and the USA have taken the trouble to change their names for varying reasons, so it's not always easy to determine the nationality of a person in a foreign country just by looking at their name.
