The violence in Nalerigu should not bring the government to her heels . Ghanaians have tolerated this uncivilized attitude in this part of the country for far too long . The government has resorted to using peaceful means to solve this problem but peace has eluded them. Nalerigu is not bigger than Ghana and when peace fails, force must be applied. The army must make its presence visible by establishing a battalion in the region to help the police maintain law and order. This has to end . The Asantehene’s mediation effort should not be in vain. An ethnic group of people cannot hold the country hostage. Ghana is bigger than Bawku and Nalerigu .
