Ghana army also force the soldiers to cheap track suits and ceremonial African prints from Ghana Army source only, which further exploit the peacekeeping soldiers. They don’t have anybody to intervene for them. What the PRO said is not the full story. The government should find whether what I’m saying is untrue, and talk to individual soldiers secretly to verify what I’m saying. So these peacekeepers spend a lot money in Ghana before they leave and these things that I have mentioned are of inferior quality too. The media people should talk to Ghana soldiers about this situation whether what I’m saying is not true. Even in the army soldiers are cheated and forced to buy certain things. Find out please

Perhaps officers are paid more than other ranks.

The UN pays the government more money for the country to send its troops to peace keeing duties and out of that the government pays the soldiers only $46 a pay, with $11 going to provide meals,etc. In other words, the soldier gets to keep only $35 as pay.
