Food for thought for the Roads and Highways Authorities. Totally unacceptable figures for a single year. There is a lot of work to be done on our roads and driving schools. The quality of driving in Ghana is very poor to say the least. Unfortunately, the indiscipline on our roads are normalized by the institutions entrusted to maintain law and order on the roads.

You come out with these figures, yet do nothing to reduce the accidents. Your colleague police officers stand at traffic lights and do nothing when they see motorcycles don't stop at pedestrian crossing markings, even when pedestrians are crossing, and then stop right in front of the police. Don't waste out ears. Let their blood be on your heads.

For my Money , most of the Vehicles on our roads should not be used to carry Humans. These vehicles should not be on our roads. These vehicles are so dangerous and should be scrapped. Indiscipline on the roads , some of the drivers are in need of psychiatric help and shouldn’t be allowed to drive. Some are alcoholics ,drug addicts, etc.. We have a lot of problems. The government should Outlaw importation of vehicles of OVER SIX years. The state should provide more public transportation.

Bad drivers, not well trained. We need to change our approach to driving test.

Am appealing to the government, possibly minister of road to introduce pedestal crossing all across the country possibly inner-city Towns. I have witnessed and there are not pedestal crossing like madina, kwabenya, kasua etc. I believe the whole regions doesn't have pedestal crossing within the town centres. Is just two poles, either metal or wood opposite each other then mark the street

It has been an annual rituals telling Ghanaians number of crashes, fatalities, degrees of injuries etc. No innovation whatsoever but the transport ministry is introducing a new registration number plates. What's wrong with the current registration number plates which was introduced around 2009 or 2010 ? If the new one will help to reduce road accidents then it's a good idea otherwise it's good for nothing.
