A presenter with Amansan Television (ATV) has been trending on social media since December 9, 2025, following an on-air altercation with a communicator of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

In a widely circulated video, the presenter, who appeared visibly upset, is seen engaging in a heated exchange with NPP’s Dr George Asafo Adjei.

The confrontation escalated to the point where Dr Asafo Adjei walked out of the studio.

According to details from the footage, the presenter repeatedly asked the NPP representative to address issues related to NAIMOS.

However, Dr Asafo Adjei seemed intent on discussing a different matter. The presenter then insisted that he either focus on the NAIMOS topic or exit the studio.

The misunderstanding ultimately led to his decision to walk off the set.

After his departure, the presenter addressed viewers, stating that she does not entertain guests who disregard her or the station’s guidelines. She also issued an apology to Ghanaians for the incident.

Despite her explanation, the presenter has faced criticisms from sections of the public.

Some Ghanaians and social media users questioned her professionalism and journalistic training, arguing that a presenter should maintain composure even when a guest appears uncooperative.

According to many online commentators, while guests may sometimes deviate from the topic, it is the responsibility of the host to manage the situation calmly and respectfully.

One of the commenters wrote on X: “The TV station needs to apologise to the general public for the abysmal behavior by their host and take her off air. Her actions were obviously rooted in more than just what we saw and needs to be investigated.”
