There is no need for mentorship as being suggested by the Speaker. Some of the new MPs are better at articulating policies than some of the MPs who have served several terms. And given the Ghanaian mentality, such a program could result in long serving MPs treating the new ones as if they are their students. The new MPs are called back benchers for a reason and they can learn from proceedings on the floor of Parliament. Nothing else.
