  Ghanaians are by nature very dirty people. This initive will only succeed with a strict enforcement of the sanitation by-laws and the prosecution of those who violate the laws. Furthermore, there should be public education on protecting the environment and an improvement in the culture of maintenance. I wish the crusaders all the best. Ethiopians have done it (go to Addis Ababa and see the remarkable transformation there) and we in Ghana should be able to do it too.

  100% agree...shame on the government, all these government appointees live in plush areas and they watch on for other areas of Accra to be filth and dirty allnin the name of politics. Ghana is sick!!

  Our leaders have no clue about urban planning. They travel to other countries and see how things are done,but they learn nothing from these places to implement back home. In the 21st century,they build roads lined with irrigation channels(open gutters) instead of side walks, and landscape or greenery. How do you build a strong tourist industry with no places for people to walk. Walking through Accra is like learning to jump for the Olympics because of the poor landscape. There is just something wrong with our society's way of thinking right from the top down.
