Well, as a well-thinking being like I'm, I will not jump into conclusion that anyone stole state money without evidence.
Be reminded that Mr. Mahama was a politician, becoming MP and vice president before becoming president in 2012. He had established himself before becoming president, so I can't accused him of stealing state's money.
Dr. Bawumia in same vein had been working as a banker, including becoming a deputy governor of bank of Ghana, who earns more than even the president of Ghana. Dr. Bawumia established himself financially before becoming the vice president. What is Ghc1.7m that Dr. Bawumia can't donate after having worked in such important sectors.
It's therefore very hypocritical for you to think that Dr. Bawumia stole Ghana's money simply because he kindly made a donation to complete the building of a church. Be human and think deep as human!!!

On the other hand, we all know where Bawumia came from; not from an entrepreneurial family; he comes from a family of mainly government workers with no known business or entrepreneurship success. He got his money through thievey during the 8 year lootimg period of the reckless government of Nana Addo. He should tell us where he got the jmoney to buy the 300 pick ups he claimed he donated to the NPP for their campaign? And now a donation of 1.7 million cedis? We Akzo witnessed his generous donation s to churches and mosques across this country; and these could run into several millions. Bawumia should be answering question at the state investigative bodies and tax organisations like the IRS of the Ghana Revenue Authority if Ghana was a country in the Americas or Europe.
