Government can only compensate you if you have genuine papers. You want to continue to leave dirty places where crime is a daily routine

As we sit today, some of the neighborhoods of new houses being built TODAY are not being planned either but you want to play Sankofa with Ashaiman. BE REALISTIC. The Government should implement enforceable town planning measures with building code enforcement moving forward before it can worry about the past.

This lady who is referred to as a Town Planner, should have been more circumspect and kept a discreet silence on this matter. I say so because it is as publicly obvious as it is my opinion that looking at the sorry sight of what has become of Accra - and even worse-still, Tema, both the Ministry of Local Govt and the Dept of Town Planning in particular should be immediately scrapped and reorganized in a more purposeful manner that would suit our peculiar aspirations as a modern city.

As the matter stands today, these two institutions are the leading authorizers and permit approvers of shanty, clutter and slum development of vast urban areas in many areas including Tema, Ashaiman, kokrobite, Weija, Kasoa, Madina, Dansoman-Sahara and most other parts of Accra. They supervise and encourage the evolution of slum-clusters into massive slum townships.

Beyond the few urban areas of the country, the sub-urban and peri-urban areas of the country are bring supervised to maintain and develop their cluttered village infrastructure where roads are built without pavements or space for that purpose.

Town Planning? Forget it. It simply doesn't exist in this country.

The same nonsense has been said about Nima. If you build high-rises in Ashaiman, the property value will go up and the average Ghanain will not be able to afford. Tell your "competent" govt to go finish the Seglemi housing project before they worry about Ashaiman.

I have been caught up on 2 occasions in Ashaiman around Zenu & Atta Deka during rainfall and only God saved me.That part of the city is dearly suffering from neglect from authorities.

Will be more plaster boards but your neighbours will be concrete so they can'tbreak tthrough your apartment. Solar panels will be roofing incase of dumsor
The body of the flats will be solid blocks but Internal will be partition with plaster boards but neighbours will be hard concrete so they won't steal break through I said before.
So that more lands will be saved for agricultural purposes.
