Northerners by nature are highly insensitive ppl.If we've ppl like Dr Apaak and Haruna Iddrisu heading our Education Ministry, there is no way this massive failure of students can be addressed. They will continue to shift that problem around till thy kingdom come. This problem cannot be attributed to one Govt, it started in 1989 after the education reform under PNDC govt.No govt has made the effort to address it since then.

Anytime NDC is in government students fail miserably. Apaak in his vetting didn’t even know what E-learning was, how can such a man bring any positive impact to our education. NDC thinks improving on education is about sharing sanitary pads to students, no wonder the president himself was happily juggling pads. Shameless government is back in power.

I disagree with you on the basis of the insensitivity issues but agree to the assertion that our educational system started falling in the PNDC time. JJ introduced the JSS and SHS which shortened the duration without the necessary investment and proper action plan. You remember prez kuffour tried to make the SHS 4 years to give the student enough time to prepare but Prof Mills and his NDC reversed it to 3 years to satisfy their founder.

Be honest with yourself! Can one year resolve the serious challenges faced by education in Ghana. The harm done to our schools is gross. Children who came home in October are returning to school in January to begin the next term. What is remaining in their heads from the previous term
The cost of double track is huge and will take years to correct. Stop politicizing and see the real problem. No magic can erase the harm done to the kids. Some will surely remain irreparable
A good number of kids can never make up what they have lost. Be objective!!!

When the finance minister and his entourage flew to IMF offices in US to sign for the third tranche of the bailout, they never blame the previous gov't for making it possible for them to get that amount of money in their tenure. They went and came back with smiles all over their faces and apart from dollars coming into BoG account, they will claim some allowances and other freebies. Besides that, everything was found to be in crisis as if when they left in 2017, everything was in perfect shape so their opponents had nothing to fix. Come on.
