  Those arrested are the wrong people even though they were found working on-site. The backers,financiers and owners are the ones that must be arrested. The authorities know them! Mark this, galamsey will thrive throughout this government term in office and nothing substantial will be achieved. Such degradation and we dont seem serious about ending it. They will always arrest the "mmobrowa" people just to throw dust on the public eyes.

The previous gov't did more than that, jailed some galamseyers and JDM said on campaign platform that if voted into power, he would release those in jail and went further to say that the galamseyers would go about their galamsey activities freely with no one chasing them. 1,486 arrested and 443 excavators seized so has galamsey activities stopped? No one has asked for statistics on galamsey but its cessation is what Ghanaians are crying for. Ndc incited galamseyers because of power and they responded positively and now that you're facing the reality of fighting galamsey activities.
