  1. While the Ghana constitution asserts individual rights, liberties and freedoms, it nonetheless carved out some important exceptions including one on education. Why did the framers believe one's rights or liberties should not exempt school age children from choosing not to be educated? If the constitution can " infringe" on the very rights each of us must have then certainly our schools must have standards and disciplinary codes and discretion to enforce uniformity of students, teaching staff and support staff.
  
  2. The overarching system of governance in Ghana is what we call democracy while the NPP call it "property seeking democracy". One of identifying characteristic of democracy is the power of the majority and the relation thereof between the majority and the minority groups. The symbiotic relationship between the majority and minority cannot be diminished; the rights of the minority cannot infringe on the rights of the majority. It is therefore none starter for one to argue that the majority of Christians at a Christian secondary school that has been in existence since the late 1800's should alter its values, principles, practices and norms to accommodate and assimilate an incoming Muslim Student of students of other faiths and religion.
