  Enrolling in the school and doing the opposite will be considered as disobedience, indiscipline, and Disorderly conduct to the authority of the school
  And I don`t think that Ward joined that school to introduce disobedience and indiscipline or Disorderly conduct...imagine a Christian ward enrolling in a muslim school and the ward always brings pork flesh or meat to the school's food, what will happen? Please let`s be frank!

  Frank, I'm disappointed with your comment. Learning centres should accommodate all faith. That is respect, and it moves nations forward. The old mission of the Christian missionary is obsolete. Their mission was to convert Ghanaians to Christianity. On admission, Muslims have to change their first names to English names and the locals also have to adopt an English name. That's why we have John Mahama, Edward Mahama and so on. That was then. These institutions have now become secular and those old laws can't apply. Their mission now is to educate Ghanaians not to convert them.
  They have Sunday schools where they teach religion and non Christians should not be forced to join. My grandfather did not continue after sign 7 because he was ask to change his first name. His father refuse. A lot of the Muslim North refused to send their children to those schools. Times have change. Eyes have opened. People knows their rights and limitations. Muslims building their own schools will only bring divisions. We've lived together for ages with trust. I bet the Christians even trust Muslims more than their fellow Christians. But today, we read so much negative stories about Muslims which wasn't their 40 years ago. What has changed. The Quran hasn't changed for sure. Western agenda. It is all about grabbing Arab land and controlling its oil. They will resist. Unfortunately most Arab government are puppets of the West just like the French are using the Franco phone countries. Unity in diversity is the way. I've lived in the UK and Europe for over 40 years. Girls wear hijab to mission schools and the even encourage it. Ghana was not a Christian country. The Europeans made it Christian, but since independence we adopted the secular constitution. Yes, there are more Christians in Ghana. Yes they inherited state institutions because they were train to act like their masters, and it hasn't gotten us anywhere. We are brothers of one another. There has never been a Christian Muslim conflict in Ghana,only tribal ones. Our biggest enemy in Ghana is tribalism not religion. Our leaders not the masses. Unless we want to add that to it. God has blessed Ghana, the rest is for us to navigate judiciously.

  On your concerns about the unbearable noise and infernal indiscipline inflicted upon us by all manner of religious organizations, it seems to me that the Moslems have only taken after the longstanding crass impunity of Christendom to collectively reduce the quality of life in the non-middle class communities of this country to pure hell. I wouldn't in any case blame either of them. Without any hesitation or remorse, I squarely blame the Local Govt ministry and their subsidiary District Assemblies for their gross incompetence and the corruption that goes into their failure to stop the diabolical levels of noise pollution and the terrible physical (non)planning schemes in the face of creeping squalor that threatens to reduce all our urban areas into deprivation and unsightly slum.

When we were paying school fees, feeding fees were included. And even if the State assist in feeding, it is only assisting its citizens (to whom political parties keep promising "free everything"), not the schools.
  
  The word is secular, not circular @Mr Nonsense. And your logic is really nonsensical. Assisting a man with some maintenance work on his house or helping him to feed his children does not make you the owner of his house or his family. Ungrateful nation, ungrateful people. Upon the immense benefits this country has derived from these Mission schools and hospitals, even long before Ghana came to exist as a nation, people like you are now claiming ownership of these schools and making noise about human rights, when you don't even know the difference between circular and secular. Social media is cheap, so everyone go fit talk some.

  I attended catholic school as a Muslim in this country. We were never forced to practice the school religious activities but were encourage to practice Islam and be a good persons. We had two mosques in that school. We were actually even forced to go the mosques on Sundays when our colleagues were at church. In fact, that school contributed to some us being better muslims today.
  
  Why will i waste my resources sendimg my child to such a school? Epitome of No humamity!

  We have only a few Islamic schools that we can attend — T.I. Ahmadiyya, Suhum Islamic Girls, Uthmaniya, to mention a few. If we truly want our children to enjoy the freedom of wearing the hijab in school, then we must focus on building and strengthening our own schools..

The deem effect of christian schools going private will mean that, the cost of living on the side of parent will go high and the christian missions will autmatically stiffing their laws according to their doctorines. Who losses? Those taking the case to court becuase, the christian mission school will subsidize school fees for the members and or other christians in Ghana. I had Muslim friends I attended the same school with and they attended Sunday mass with us, but they were devoted Muslims. I will entreat all to stop this unnecessary tension. We have lived with our Muslims brothers and we respect each other so much. If a Muslim parent wants the child to practice the Islamic religion better, avoid missionary schools. We now have well established Islamic institutions in ghana. Wesley girls will always be wey gey hey and that is it. I don't think someone can enter a typical Islamic school and decide to promote other religion there. If care is not taken and we allow these issues to have wings, many other religion will take advantage to infiltrate into our school to cause more harm.

  One of the reasons for our relative peace and religious harmony in this country is secondary school - I mean the form 1 to upper 6 boarding school. It mixed up children from different backgrounds, beliefs, religions, social status, and effectively built up communities of sisters and brothers. What united us was where we went to school, and our rivalries were over Interco - and, more recently - NMSQ. If we allow this back and forth of hijabs and mission schools to continue, we risk losing a very important element of our national fabric, creating religious and ethnic silos. Please, our leaders, don't fight this one out in public, sit in peace with the objective of peace and unity in mind and resolve the matter. Please - we have so little left in terms of holding our country together due to politics and so-called democracy that we need to hold on to all the remnants available.

One of the rational behind the establishment of these educational institutions is to promote our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and it is not right to allow other religious groups to counter that through the back door. I expect the Methodist Church, Presby, Pentecost etc to issue individual statements on this matter to let the public know that we are not ready to bend the rules on this matter. That not withstanding, I went to a catholic school, went to mass and followed all rules. I will always recommend a catholic school over Methodist. They respect our differences and always make a provision.The reverend father who was kind enough to also allow us space to pray and also fast. Same cannot be said of the brothers who went to the Methodist school. They almost lost their faith.

If they don't find it suitable because of their own beliefs, they are free to go elsewhere.
  
  The question is why is that Muslims cannot boast of their own good schools for their children if they want to raise them with their own beliefs. They find money and also take tax payers money to go to Mecca every year. They could channel those funds into building good schools for their kids instead going to Mecca to fondle or get fondled by fellow pagans in their attempt to kiss a vagina shaped rock for forgiveness- the pagan Olympics.

Look, those making the noise, if you chose to enter a shrine, and you were told to remove your slippers, why do you cry foul? You knew all along the difference between Christianity and Islam. Whiles the first hinges it's belief on Jesus Christ, the latter does not belief Jesus Christ as the saviour. Christians do not wear hijab. And so if you are fully aware of these and still you decide to attend that school, then you must comply with the tenets of the school. I am a lawyer so I am going to court is not the answer. You will face opposition. Heh, if you visited a town, and realised the inhabitants walked with one leg, do the same or reverse and you will have no problem, Mr.Lawyer. In the same vein, if you entered a mosque and realised that all the worshippers had bowed down, what would you do? What kind of nonsense is this?

Let pupils study the curriculum at school and worship at home if they wish. The current clamor by the Christian councils, Catholic bishops, and Muslim groups over Wesley Girls’ High School is a warning. If every denomination demands its own rules, government must equally fund traditionalist schools to uphold democratic fairness. That path is avoidable. Let's keep religion out of the timetable, keep schools for education alone. That's my take.
