Please, let our children learn the importance of rules and regulations. It is these same people who would cause an uproar should a student collapse and die because they were fasting whiles in school and carrying out the tasks expected of them at the same time.

If they must, at all cost, be part of these faith activities, can they choose to first attend the institutions which have these faith activities embedded in their rules and regulations? Then, there would be no need for all this back and forth about Wesley Girls infringing on their rights. My two pesewas....

Why is the Ghana security services not accepting people with tattoos, nose and ear piercing? Why are the security services not accepting people with flat foot? It's unfortunate and utterly astonishing when people fail to understand matters like this and jump in to it with stereotypical motives and prejudice. The Muslim students at Wesley girls are not asking to erect a mosque structure on the premises, neither are they demanding to go to class in hijab. The are fully aware of the rules, regulations and institutional culture and practices. They fully participate in all gathering of the school whether or not it's against their beliefs. However for the school to ban them for observing their daily prayers in private, and other forms of practices like fasting in the month Ramadan is TOTALLY DESCRIMINATORY. It defies the supreme laws of the nation. Therefore the call is to respect the fundamental rights of freedom of association and worship of all manner of persons in that public space.(school).
Besides, Arabic education is NOT the same as Islamic education. It's just like schools offering French language as a subject. Be informed!
