Thank you @Benji. The supposed "elite Ghanaian business mogul" talks like a fool. There is clear opportunity to expand into the starch business and this fool is calling on the government to establish a starch factory.

We can produce industrial grade starch from cassava also.
Under former President Kuffuor this was the target ---- to establish cassava plantations, process the cassava to get ethanol, high grade starch for industrial use (breweries , pharmaceuticals), high grade cassava flour for making bread, pastries and other food items.
It would have created thousands and thousands of jobs.
A new administration came in after Kuffuor, and that was not their priority!!! Just like Mahama is giving indications of abandoning the ongoing road projects from Accra to Kumasi, and starting a new dual carriageway.
What is wrong with us as a people!? Prioritising stagnation over progress!!!
I'd advise that Jospong Group of Companies, and other interested private companies venture into cassava plantation and cassava processing business.
It is very lucrative business. And good for the
nation's economy also.
