As an academic in the UK, I look completely dazed about how academics in Ghana abandon the classroom and research for radio and TV stations whilst their employers look unconcerned. In the UK, Public Relations handles all media requests for interviews and or comments and circulate the requests for academics with relevant knowledge to contact PR. Academics cannot abandon the classroom to go sit on radio and TV stations from morning to evening seven days a week. The employer is to be blamed here. Universities cannot longer pretend that it is NOT their business. Behaving so would be irresponsible

And what did the host of the programme say? Dr Domfeh has apologised, he said. One would wonder what the true motive of the moderator was? Was he happy when the unfortunate incident happened? This will enable us all to judge and perhaps subject the one also making the critique in general estimations. Prof. Azar's posture on this particular issue, amount to fence standing and not bold enough. Most Ghanaians watched the live program and also the benefit of the off screen exchanges which Prof Azar could have relied on to make specific references.
