The last time I saw on my beautiful television set, that semi-human from Kyebi, called Nana Akuffo Addo, was busy copying written words from a "jotter" onto the large book of condolence that the British High Commission had opened to receive messages of condolence from the public. So I asked myself: how could this elderly man be doing such a shameful thing in public when he's said to be a reputable lawyer?? Then, a hand tapped me from behind, followed by a whisper: don't ever believe that Kyebi Mampam to be a lawyer. He hasn't got that mental capacity to pass even the easiest law paper that he will sit for, that is why you can see him copying out his simple message of condolence from that brown jotter. What are the economic effects of a high valued local currency vs. a lower valued local currency in a developing but poor country like Ghana and its economy? Will a good economist trade his/her internationally convertible asset (gold) for another internationally convertible commodity (dollar) to support a local currency (Cedi) which cannot buy any commodity outside of its perimeter (border)? Why will Nigeria not revalue its currency (naira) against the dollar and support it with their oil dollars for a stronger Naira? What about Japan or China? How long can Ghana under the NDC government sustain this 'dollarlization' of a strong Cedi? Is a strong currency the only determining factor for economic stability? Don't sit down for the NDC to 'throw dust on your eyes'.
