Dr Kwame Nkrumah also did so much for the north as well interms of education:
Ghana College, Tamale, Government secondary school, Tamale, Bawku, Yendi, Lawra, Wa, Nalerigu Damongo secondary schools etc.. You are right Kwame Nkrumah was a visionary leader. He did all this in less than 9years.
What a big loss he has been to the nation!!! His compulsory policy of education for all children gave some of us especially from the north the opportunity to go to school. Otherwise my father had no clue about education and didn’t see the need for his children to go to school.

May GOD ALMIGHTY give him wisdom , anchor and victory to be able to do this again with sustained efforts.
Don't forget Acherensua Secondary School (Achisco) which was the only secondary school in Ahafo until 1970 when Busia converted Hwidiem and Mim Training Colleges to secondary schools. And other schools like Yaa Asantewah Secondary School, Konongo Odumasi Secondary School, and many more. You can easily identify the schools by the similar buildings, which were constructed under the Education Trust Fund. Nkrumah was selfless, and a visioneer. Up to the present, nobody has come out to accuse him of corruption or kalabule. He left no mansion or assets. Akuffo Addo family and the Akyem traitors are thieves, and with fake British vocal accents.

Dr Kwame Nkrumah also did so much for the north as well interms of education:
Ghana College, Tamale, Government secondary school, Tamale, Bawku, Yendi, Lawra, Wa, Nalerigu Damongo secondary schools etc.. You are right Kwame Nkrumah was a visionary leader. He did all this in less than 9years.
What a big loss he has been to the nation!!! His compulsory policy of education for all children gave some of us especially from the north the opportunity to go to school. Otherwise my father had no clue about education and didn’t see the need for his children to go to school.

May GOD ALMIGHTY give him wisdom , anchor and victory to be able to do this again with sustained efforts.
Don't forget Acherensua Secondary School (Achisco) which was the only secondary school in Ahafo until 1970 when Busia converted Hwidiem and Mim Training Colleges to secondary schools. And other schools like Yaa Asantewah Secondary School, Konongo Odumasi Secondary School, and many more. You can easily identify the schools by the similar buildings, which were constructed under the Education Trust Fund. Nkrumah was selfless, and a visioneer. Up to the present, nobody has come out to accuse him of corruption or kalabule. He left no mansion or assets. Dr Kwame Nkrumah also did so much for the north as well interms of education:
Ghana College, Tamale, Government secondary school, Tamale, Bawku, Yendi, Lawra, Wa, Nalerigu Damongo secondary schools etc.. You are right Kwame Nkrumah was a visionary leader. He did all this in less than 9years.
What a big loss he has been to the nation!!! His compulsory policy of education for all children gave some of us especially from the north the opportunity to go to school. Otherwise my father had no clue about education and didn’t see the need for his children to go to school.

May GOD ALMIGHTY give him wisdom , anchor and victory to be able to do this again with sustained efforts.
Don't forget Acherensua Secondary School (Achisco) which was the only secondary school in Ahafo until 1970 when Busia converted Hwidiem and Mim Training Colleges to secondary schools. And other schools like Yaa Asantewah Secondary School, Konongo Odumasi Secondary School, and many more. You can easily identify the schools by the similar buildings, which were constructed under the Education Trust Fund. Nkrumah was selfless, and a visioneer. Up to the present, nobody has come out to accuse him of corruption or kalabule. He left no mansion or assets. Akuffo Addo family and the Akyem traitors are thieves, and with fake British vocal accents.

Kotoka then saw that there was no Akan in the plot and the Coup would not work and so he brought in Afrifa. Kotoka and Afrifa successfully made the coup and then after that brought in Ankrah who was a General in rank to lead.

Please President Nkrumah also dedicated his Dark Days to Lieutenant SB Arthur and Lieutenant M Yeboa who were executed openly by firing squad for their failed coup attempt.Please apart from murdering Major General Bawa, all the 7 security officers stationed at Major General Bawa 's residence were murdered on the i orders of Colonel Kotoka .Please page 22 of Nkrumah 's Dark Days

There Afrifa who was next to Kotoka became the leader of the NLC. But he decided to return the country from dictatorship to constitutional state. He allowed the first free and fair election to be held. Of which Dr Busia from Wenchi won the election to be the first elected president of Ghana in 1969. But he was overthrown by Acheampong in 1972. Kotoka was not killed by any member from the NLC. To honor him for helping to liberate the country from one party state and dictatorship that is why Afrifa decided to name the Accra Airport after him. It was through Kotoka that Ghana became a free speech without any fear. But now Mahama and the Ndc are gradually trying to return the country to Nkrumah era. Where anyone is arrested if you criticize the government. It's through Kotoka that Ghana is now a democratic state. If anything has to be changed it must be the name Ghana. Because it has nothing to do with our culture and environment. The country has to be renamed Gold Coast.

Dr Kwame Nkrumah also did so much for the north as well interms of education:
Ghana College, Tamale, Government secondary school, Tamale, Bawku, Yendi, Lawra, Wa, Nalerigu Damongo secondary schools etc.. You are right Kwame Nkrumah was a visionary leader. He did all this in less than 9years.
What a big loss he has been to the nation!!! His compulsory policy of education for all children gave some of us especially from the north the opportunity to go to school. Otherwise my father had no clue about education and didn’t see the need for his children to go to school.

May GOD ALMIGHTY give him wisdom , anchor and victory to be able to do this again with sustained efforts.
Don't forget Acherensua Secondary School (Achisco) which was the only secondary school in Ahafo until 1970 when Busia converted Hwidiem and Mim Training Colleges to secondary schools. And other schools like Yaa Asantewah Secondary School, Konongo Odumasi Secondary School, and many more. You can easily identify the schools by the similar buildings, which were constructed under the Education Trust Fund. Nkrumah was selfless, and a visioneer. Up to the present, nobody has come out to accuse him of corruption or kalabule. He left no mansion or assets. Akuffo Addo family and the Akyem traitors are thieves, and with fake British vocal accents.

The 13th April, 1967 coup was about the torture of Comrade S.S. Baffour-Awuah by Captain Avevor and Captain Bokloe.
Somewhere in April, 1967 a little less than a year when Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah was overthrown by the imperialist quislings of the National Liberation Council (NLC), Kwame Nkrumah having received intelligence report that a year after his overthrow the NLC has not bettered Ghana's economy, which was the ruse the use to overthrow him.
About 300,000 Ghanaians who were dismissed from various employment and their families could not find food to eat. Things were really hard for Ghanaians and especially members of the Brigade who were sent home by the NLC.
Kwame Nkrumah could not find any other person to do intelligence work for him apart from young Sasu Sempe Baffour-Awuah, then 21 years old.
Comrade Baffour-Awuah did his intelligence work and saw that the ground was fresh for a counter coup against the NLC.
On his way back to Conakry to report to Osagyefo that all was set for a coup, a Nigerian who was his comrade who meet him whiles he was sniffing the air to see if something can be cooked leaked his presence in Ghana to the NLC.
Comrade S.S. Baffour-Awuah quickly sneaked out of Ghana, having had intelligence that someone has leaked his presence in the country to the NLC.
He quickly got to Upper Volta, now call Burkina Faso, took a plane to Niger and was about to board a plane to Conakry when the military junta in Niger was informed by the NLC that there was a fugitive named S.S. Baffour-Awuah in their country and was about to board a plane to Conakry.
The military junta in Niger launched a manhunt for Baffour-Awuah and through another sellout got to know where he was hiding.
I got interested in that incident, so whilst Baffour-Awuah and myself were sitting alone at the SOS Village in Tema I ask about the 13th April, 1967 abortive coup which leader was Lt. Arthur, Lt. Yeboah and 2nd Lt. Osei-Poku, who will later during the NRC regime of General Ignatius Kutu Acheampong became the editor of the Ghanaian Evening News Paper.
So according to Comrade S.S. when the junta in Nimey arrested him it chained him both hands and feet. A chaining that is call monkey chaning.
He was then keep in a cell that was filled with water to his chin, with iron bars, he was chained in such a manner that he was unable to ward off mosquitoes that attacked him in the cell in droves. When the bitig become unbearable he dips his head into the water in the cell.
As he lifts his head from the water to breath air the biting of the mosquitoes continued.
The only time he was free from the biting of mosquitoes was when he was being feed.
The cell was so dark that mosquitoes were in it both day and night. After being in Nimey for three days, he was put on a plane to Accra.
Colonel Emmanuel Kwasi Kotoka, who was then given the title of a Lt. General, the Commissioner of Defence gave order to two Captains to torture and extract information from him.
The torture then commenced with Captain Bokloe and Captain Avevor being those in charge.
Junior officers in the Ghana army then could not bear the sight of the torture of the young Baffour-Awuah, thus they decided to stage a coup against the NLC, and not only that eliminate all members of the NLC and bring back Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
Kindly note that in 1985 Lt. Jerry John Rawlings appointed S.S. Baffour-Awuah as the Eastern Regional Organizer of the Committee For Defence of The Revolution (CDR).
Few months latter S.S. was together with his team arrested,the soldiers at Gonda Barracks used broken bottle to shave his head.
Though I discourage Comrade S.S. not to take that post, but he did not listen to me. Though I make it know to him that Rawlings intentionally gave him the post in order to humiliate him.
So the torture of S.S. continued until as we already stated above, the junior officers Lt. Owusu-Dzimah, Lt. Arthur, Lt. Yeboah and 2nd Lt. Osei Poku staged the coup with intelligence from Kwame Nkrumah.
The military junta that was supposed to take over from the NLC was supposed to be made up of Lt. Colonel Asase, Major Acheab, Major Sowu and Captain Acquah (the last became the Managing Director of GIHOC and was assassinated together with three judges of the High Court by I.C.Quaye, Amedeka and elements of the PNDC).
So whiles Lt. Arthur was making the broadcast after the coup he named the officers whose rank and name mentioned above as leaders of the coup.
I was then 14 years old, but developed a lot of interest in partisan politics, after having found out that the NLC deceive Ghanaians to overthrow Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and the CPP.
At that young age I started reading Marxist-Leninist and Mao Tse Tung philosophy though they were banned by the NLC and anyone seen reading them was supposed to face some years of imprisonment.
So, in the nutshell it was the cruelty that was given out to S.S. by Lt. Gen. Kotoka, Maj. Avevor and Bokloe that brought about the 13th April, 1967 abortive coup.
Lt. Colonel Asase, Maj. Acheab, Major Sowu and Maj. Ackuah refused to form a junta that will disposed off the NLC. However since their names were mentioned by the young officers who staged the coup on 13/4/1967 they were subsequently dismissed from the Ghana Army after a military tribunal tried the three junior offices.
Lt. Arthur and Lt. Yeboah were sentenced to death by firing squad at the Teshie Military Range. 2nd Lt. Osei-Poku (whom I met in 1976 at the Nima Roundabout was sentenced to life imprisonment).
In 1972 whiles in prison at the Nsawam Major Security Prison S.S. Baffour-Awuah will with the assistance of then Colonel Ignatius Acheampong stage a coup to overthrow the government of the Progress Party led by Professor Kofi Busia.
S.S. Baffour-Awah dead in 1999 after a short illness. Lt. Owusu-Gyimah dead somewhere in the 2020s.
I happen to witness the planning, staging of two successful coups by S.S. against Captain Sankara and Captain Strasser.
But all my efforts to convince him to let us stage a coup against Jerry John Rawlings was unsuccessful.
On the day the coup was staged in Ouagadougou leading to the assassination of Captain Thomas Sankara, Blaise Camporee was with Comrade S.S. in Adabraka, Accra planning everything until the end.
It is on record that when Charles Taylor came to Ghana, I was ordered by my organization to breath him. He listened to me, but did not abide by the advice I gave him.

I had a confrontation with Lt. Colonel Asase in 1988, he wanted to use his military tactics to bully me. I told him in the face that I am not one of those to be bullied.
That confrontation took place at the Old Parliament House, Accra, which was then the Headquarters of the Committees for Defence of the Revolution (CDRs).
Lt. Colonel Asase invited my family, together with me to have the issue trashed out.
Unfortunately, a about two weeks of the confrontation he passed on.
I had in 1985 had a conflict with Captain Kojo Tsikata, when I reported to him about disrespect of one of his men towards me.
I was expecting Cap. Tsikata to dealt into the matter but he rather accused me of been incompetent.
I told him to take good care of his boy because he has been drinking to much and may die as a result of alcohol poisoning in two months.
The man dead exactly two months after I requested the Captain to take good care of him.
On the day Ghanaians had demonstration against US subversive activities against Libya, I joined the demonstration and was happy to meet some of the PNDC caders I happened to have studied with in Cuba and others I meet in 1985.
One of them had a pistol stocked in his belt. I advised him to end his demonstration at Kwame Nkrumah Circle, as I was about to end my own there and not to go to the US Embassy.
He said why and my explanation was that he was going to put his pistol into someone's eye.
I returned to my office at the Ministries and after a few hours I heard that he shot dead a Ghanaian police man at the US Embassy.
