You want more pay increase for your workers? That is good but tell your workers to increase productivity and stop stealing government monies and other corrupt practices that lead to the state losing huge sums of monies that can be used to fund the pay increases. Ghanaian workers are unproductive and corrupt.

With all the hikes in electricity and water bills it is only a wicked government that will give workers 9% increment. After tax the amount left will be less than 9%.

Anyway with this action repeated for two consecutive years the signs are clear that NDC has started working their way to opposition. GHANAIAN WORKERS ARE MAGICIANS AND POOR AND WILL REMAIN POOR FOREVER.
WHY BECAUSE GHANAIAN WORKERS CAN NOT HOLD THE GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTABLE. BELOW IS WHAT PERTAINS IN OUR NEIGHBORING COUNTRIES. ITS A SHAME THAT UP TILL DATE GHANAIANS ARE EARNING BELOW $2 (TWO DOLLARS) A DAY AND WE KEEP PRAISING AND SUPPORTING OUR WICKED AND INSENSITIVE LEADERS. I PITY GHANAIAN WORKERS. NO WONDER GHANAIAN WORKERS PRETENDING TO BE WORKING AND EMPLOYERS ALSO PRETEND TO BE PAYING GOOD WAGES.
the recently announced daily minimum wage, which we find to be woefully inadequate given current economic realities and regional benchmarks.
While Ghana's minimum wage stands at approximately GH¢18.15 per day, our key regional competitors have established significantly higher rates, placing our nation at a severe disadvantage:
· Ivory Coast: The guaranteed minimum interprofessional wage (SMG) is 75,000 CFA (approximately GH¢72) per month, translating to a daily rate that is multiple times higher than Ghana's.
· Senegal: The guaranteed minimum interprofessional wage (SMIG) is approximately 209.10 CFA (approximately GH¢42) per hour, for a standard 8-hour day.
· Burkina Faso: The guaranteed interprofessional minimum wage (SMIG) is set at 34,664 CFA (approximately GH¢34) per month.
This stark disparity demonstrates that Ghana's wage is not only low but uncompetitive. The inadequacy of this recent adjustment deepens the cost-of-living crisis, fuels the migration of skilled labour, and stifles domestic consumption.
We urgently call for an immediate review to establish a realistic and competitive daily minimum wage that reflects the dignity of the Ghanaian worker and the standards of our region.

YOU DON'T DO ANY RESEARCH EVEN BEFORE GOING TO THE NEGOTIATION TABLE.
A SIMPLE ANALYSIS ON THE EXPENDITURE OF AN ORDINARY WORKER A DAY WILL EASILY INFORM YOUR POWER TO BARGAIN SENSIBLE.
LOOK BELOW AND YOU WILL SEE HOW MUCH YOUR COMPATRIOT IN OTHER WEST AFRICAN COUNTRIES ARE EARNING DAILY.
