We can all imagine how painful it must be for the local neocolonialists to have lost their advantageous position to plunder and loot freely but frankly, I do not see how delusions of some imaginary future payback time can help them overcome their tantrums. We can only thank God that the NPP dubiously won the last elections in 2016, because their 8 years in power has only served to openly expose them as a party without any substance or honesty. That being the case, and judging by global trends, it is not likely that they will ever re-emerge as a potent political force in Ghana again. They should therefore stop disturbing our ears with those childish threats of what they will do to some people when they come to power.

From a majority leader to a minority leader with his MPs just about a third of parliament after the last elections, is not something to pride in but Afenyo-Markin is unaware that there has been an drastic change. For instance, when he was majority leader, he could send a petition to the SC one morning and in the afternoon of the same day, the SC ruled granting him his request to anul the decision of the speaker of parliament. Surprisingly, he thinks he can continue to do that. Unless Afenyo-Markin is given proper counselling, he will continue to be making a fool out of himself.
