No serious rice farmer from USA, Russia or China will come to Ghana and invest here. Acquisition of Land in large size is a big challenge in our country.

If you really are interested in getting rice farmers to partner with Ghana rice growers, then look to countries like Thailand, India and Vietnam.

Ambassador Smith this is a good move. Let us stop the importation of rice. Let us assist to grow what we eat and eat what we grow. Agriculture is paramount. Rice, Poultry, vegetables and fruits.
Let this not be another Quality Grain Matter.
But it was the first African slaves to America who introduced rice farming there. They were known to be experts in the cultivation of black and purple coloured rice in particular.
Ambassador: be cautious of your people
1. being exploited as cheap labor for this US farm
2. becoming "brain drain" when they never return to Ghana
3. suffering black-on-black crime prevalent in US.
