  Public Relations Department does not have anything to do with El-Wak stadium, the facility is directly under Department of Training (GHQ). They rent out the facility and pocket all the proceeds without undertaking any renovation. Infact it is not only the El-Wak stadium but Nicholson Stadium, GAF Sports Complex and other recreational areas are all under GHQ(Training)

  So the military too cannot maintain Elwak. Sadly the place cannot be raised higher because it sits in a flight takeoff path. But however small it is, it should be maintained. I remember we played some premier league matches there in 1999 and 2000, when Accra Sports Staidium was being renovated for CAN 2000
