The man is just a thug who felt that he had every right to get his way by any means, even if that meant assaulting people. Hopefully, the military justice system will take its course. Those he assaulted also reserve the right to bring suit against him and the military service. Fighting back when attacked is one thing, but assaulting a person for video recording you and also assaulting a second person for refusing to give you a refund on a purchase is not only absurd but outright criminal, making it conduct unbecoming of a soldier.

Many older Ghanaians (mostly those above 55 years) will be getting nasty flashbacks of the RALINGS TERROR ERA. It is shocking when you hear clueless folk, mostly those below the age of 50 carrying on and on about bringing back military rule.
During the JJ Rawlings military rule Ghanaians experienced a level of degradation of their daily living conditions that is hard to describe to these naïve younger generations or the very select few privileged folk (mostly those with links to the military junta). Many of us know what it feels like to eat "chemical kenkey" as we jokingly called it because this kind of kenkey was made from seed corn impregnated with God knows what chemicals- it was meant for planting and not for direct human consumption. Corn meant for chicken feed was similarly used by countless hungry Ghanaians because normal grains disappeared from our markets or were sold at prohibitive prices. In the meantime, well fed soldiers roamed the streets in army trucks picking on anybody whom they deemed a "saboteur". Challenging some of these drug addled soldiers resulted in swift brutal punishment and in some cases even death.
The lockdown that followed Covid also reminded some of us of the suffocating Rawling’s curfews. May the God of mercy spare us ever going back to that dark period of our history.
IT IS THE VESTIGES OF THE CULTURE OF IMPUNITY THAT BLOSSOMED DURING THE RAWLINGS ERA THAT WE ARE STILL SEEING MANIFEST.
IT IS CRUCIAL THAT THE ARMY ITSELF TAKE THE LEAD IN STAMPING OUT THIS SORT OF UNCIVILIZED BEHAVIOUR.

As much as I condemn the assault, both the customer and the pharmacy attendant contributed to it, and they initiated it to infuriate the man. Because they are officers family members they thought they could do whatever they want to anyone by way of interfering their privacy. The attendant and customer conducts must also be condemned.

There's no expectation of privacy when one is in public; it is universal understanding and the law. In fact a person has the right to sue under claim of fraud and deception if one enters a business facility where there are CCTV cameras mounted but the facility owner(s) cannot provide a recording of the incident to police or investigative agency whereby a customer is impacted/wounded. Some customers choose where the shop because of perceived safety provided by existing CCTV system.

The soldier was simply rude and arrogant because of his ignorance. No one who has respect for others would go into the pharmacy and believed that a customer who is being served should move away without common courtesy of being asked to. Secondly the soldiers initial breach of human courtesy and military discipline invalidated any claim to privacy; the lady had the right to record for her safety once the initial boundary was crossed.

It cannot be accepted back by the pharmacy and sold to another person. Pharmacies have rules by which they operate. They cannot go against the rules in the name of peace.

Ghanaian soldiers must learn to accept that they are civilians in uniform; they are not above anyone in the country. He needs to pay for assault and be pushed into prison for at least 10 years with damn hard labor. The pharmacist did you no wrong. He even protected you and the citizens by telling you that medicines are not returnable. Imagine what can happen if everyone purchases a medication and decides to send it back, place it back on the shelf, and bought by someone else, without knowing what's in the package? No, they are not.

You being a soldier does not and cannot change that fact. He should educate himself—a twerp of a backward mentality, a deranged soldier who should not be in the army.

A background check should be done on him, and he should be severely punished!

This is UNACCEPTABLE.

This rule of no return was applied right infront of our faces when it wasn’t even 5 minutes after purchase and the weather was cool and medicine was sealed with a secondary tamper seal. If you cannot take it back how about refunding a portion of the profit you have made on it? Should I take a medicine I do not need or you bin it an keep the profit margin at my full costs? I accepted disheartened and walked out.

But as we see in this video, in the face of assault refund suddenly became possible. Humans eh, we are our own problem; we are a litigious bunch. No wonder people oppress others with power. How do humans choose not to reason because of a rule? Rules are made often with good intentions and to serve humans. What is justification that customer wants to tamper and do evil on the first place? Check that and other contingencies! Reason!

Regardless of whether his trip to the pharmacy had to with the price or the type of dewormer, the soldier's conduct was totally uncalled for. There was no justification for assaulting anyone since he was never attacked by anyone. This was just a hot-headed idiot who decided to take matters into his hands by resorting to a display of violence to as away of resolving whatever issue he had to deal with. Military personnel are not trained to resolve issues in this manner.

This drug is not liquid that a customer can easily change the content and ask for a refund. The lady’s action is also very bad, we sometimes invite bad energies through our actions and her actions caused this chaos. People behave foolishly and we take it to Social media that's why there's no discipline in the youths of today . See Youths attacking Soldiers and even want to burn them alive. Maxwell Mahama is gone forever ,killed is cold blood by foolish youths and we are still praising this nonsense.
