Ofori Attah is going to have Security, Health, Drivers and many workers that have to be employed. Sure he shall buy mansions and have workers to operate there. He is going to spend significantly in the USA. That means employment for Americans. He is not a hazard to the USA economy. Do you think that Uncle Sam will deport him? No. He has his immediate family with him, and his family is with him. What is he coming to Ghana for? DUMSOR, Armed Robbery, Poor Health and Educational facilities, Ken is never coming back to Ghana. He can have a house at Togo where he can have vacations there and his Distant Relatives and friends can visit him. Let us stop dreaming that he will come to Ghana. He may even Will to be buried in the USA. Trying to go for him will be like going on a Wild Goose Chase.

Your point is a good one; however, extradition for crime-related offenses is a two-way street. The FBI was on our soil to extradite crooks not that long ago. Ofori Atta had reprieve due to his "health," which might have been allowed because of international laws. However, if his recovery is within the window for extradition, that will surely happen. Of course, all of this assumes the Mahama administration isnt playing games with Ghanaians.

If I may bridge the two positions, the Mahama administration could successfully extradite Ofori Atta but drag its feet in prosecuting him, to ensure the NPP assumes power to dismiss the charges. It isnt a farfetched scenario because the NDC knows what it's also stealing and fears the consequences should the NPP come to power. Another possible outcome is some kind of a deal to keep him out of jail.

As for me, my prayer is for a coup detat and installation of our own Traore; for both the NPP and NDC are crooks in equal measure. To think otherwise exposes one's naivete and foolhardiness.

But Ofori-Atta's stupid & equally-criminal cousin... (Akuffo Addo, the Mother Serpent) is the biggest fraudster who needs to be dealt with. If the constitution doesn’t allow dual citizens to enter parliament, why did it allow Ofori Atta to serve as Ghana’s Finance Minister for 8 years? Eii Ghana!
